Boss: Eyesoar

Eyesoar is the mini-boss of the Crown Dungeon. This flying foe can be a bit tricky if you don't know the proper approach, but with the right strategy and equipment, you'll defeat it in no time.

Preparation

  • Required Item: The Seed Shooter is essential for this battle. Make sure it's equipped to one of your item slots.
  • Recommended Item: Mystery Seeds can be useful if you're struggling, as they can sometimes stun Eyesoar. However, the primary strategy relies on Ember Seeds.
  • Health: Ensure you have a good amount of health before entering the boss room. If you're low, consider using a Potion or collecting some stray hearts from the dungeon.

Battle Strategy

Eyesoar will fly around the room, occasionally swooping down to attack. Your goal is to hit its eye, which is its only vulnerable spot. However, the eye is usually closed, making direct attacks difficult.

  1. Open Eyesoar's Eye:
    • Eyesoar's eye will only open when it's about to charge at you.
    • As it prepares to charge, it will briefly stop and its eye will open wide. This is your window of opportunity.
  2. Use the Seed Shooter with Ember Seeds:
    • When Eyesoar's eye is open, quickly fire an Ember Seed from your Seed Shooter directly into its eye.
    • The Ember Seed will ignite Eyesoar, causing it to flail around the room erratically for a few moments.
  3. Repeat the Process:
    • After the initial hit, Eyesoar will recover and resume its normal flight pattern.
    • Continue to dodge its swooping attacks and wait for its eye to open again before it charges.
    • Repeat the process of shooting an Ember Seed into its open eye.
  4. Dodge Attacks:
    • While waiting for Eyesoar's eye to open, focus on avoiding its charges. It moves quite quickly, so stay on the move.
    • The room is relatively small, so be mindful of your positioning.

Victory Reward

Once you've landed enough hits with the Ember Seeds, Eyesoar will be defeated. A warp portal will appear, allowing you to exit the room, and you'll receive a Fairy to replenish your health.
