Phase 1: Attacking the Body
Pumpkin Head is the first dungeon boss. It's a large, floating pumpkin. In its first phase, it will float around the room, occasionally dropping smaller pumpkin enemies that will chase Link. Your primary goal here is to attack the main Pumpkin Head with your Wooden Sword. Get close and swing your sword whenever you have an opening, being careful to avoid its direct path and the smaller pumpkins.
After taking enough damage, Pumpkin Head's head will detach from its body and begin flying around the room independently. The body will remain stationary on the ground. This signals the start of the second phase.
Phase 2: Throwing the Body at the Head
Once the head is detached, the body becomes your weapon. Equip your Power Bracelet. The body will be sitting on the ground. Use the Power Bracelet to lift the body, then throw it at the flying head. This will stun the head, causing it to fall to the ground and become vulnerable. Quickly switch back to your Wooden Sword and attack the stunned head repeatedly.
The head will eventually recover and resume flying, and the body will reappear on the ground. Repeat the process: lift the body, throw it at the head, then attack the stunned head with your sword. Be mindful of the smaller pumpkins that continue to spawn. After several successful cycles, Pumpkin Head will be defeated. You will receive a Heart Container and the Eternal Spirit (Essence of Time).
