From Lynna Village, head north. You'll enter the Maku Road area. Continue heading north, navigating through screens with various enemies like Octoroks. You'll eventually reach a screen with a large, withered tree – this is the Maku Tree of the Present. Interact with her to learn about the Essences of Time and your first destination: the Spirit's Grave.
The path to the Maku Tree is relatively straightforward, but be mindful of the enemies. Use your newly acquired Wooden Sword to dispatch them. There are no complex puzzles on this initial path, but it's a good opportunity to get accustomed to the game's combat and movement. The Maku Tree's dialogue will set the stage for the entire adventure, explaining the dire situation in Labrynna.
