Overworld Foes
Octorok
- Description: These octopus-like creatures are a staple in the Zelda series, spitting rocks from a distance.
- Locations: Found almost everywhere in Holodrum, particularly in the Eastern Suburbs, Western Coast, and Sunken City.
- Strategy:
- Approach cautiously. Their rock projectiles are slow but can knock you back.
- Use your Wooden Sword or Noble Sword to deflect their rocks back at them for an instant defeat.
- Alternatively, get close and strike them with your sword.
- The Boomerang can stun them, allowing for easy sword strikes.
- Drops: Occasionally drop Rupees (green or blue) or Recovery Hearts.
Moblin
- Description: Pig-like humanoids that wield spears. They charge at Link when they spot him.
- Locations: Common in the Eastern Suburbs, Woods of Winter, and Mt. Cucco regions.
- Strategy:
- Moblins are aggressive. Their charge can be interrupted with a well-timed sword swing.
- Use your Shield to block their spear attacks, then counter-attack.
- The Pegasus Seeds can be used to quickly dash past them or deliver a powerful charge attack with your sword.
- Later in the game, the Roc's Feather allows you to jump over their charges, leaving them vulnerable.
- Drops: Often drop Rupees (green or blue) and sometimes Bombs.
Peahat
- Description: Large, flying plant-like enemies that are invulnerable while airborne. They descend to attack.
- Locations: Frequently found in the Western Coast, Samasa Desert, and areas around the Sunken City.
- Strategy:
- Peahats are only vulnerable when they land. Wait for them to descend.
- Once on the ground, strike them repeatedly with your Wooden Sword or Noble Sword.
- The Seed Shooter with Ember Seeds can hit them while they're flying, causing them to briefly pause, but they won't take damage until they land.
- A well-placed Bomb can also defeat them quickly once they're grounded.
- Drops: May drop Recovery Hearts or Mystery Seeds.
Dungeon Dwellers
Stalfos
- Description: Animated skeletons that throw bones or attack with swords.

- The Boomerang can stun them, making them easier targets.
- In later dungeons, some Stalfos may require more hits or have different attack patterns.
- Drops: Commonly drop Rupees (green) and occasionally Bombs.
Keese
- Description: Small, flying bats that dart around erratically.
- Locations: Abundant in almost all dungeons and dark caves, such as the Gnarled Root Dungeon and Poison Moth's Lair.
- Strategy:
- Keese are weak but annoying due to their unpredictable flight path.

- The Boomerang can also take them out easily.

Spiked Beetle
- Description: Armored beetles that are invulnerable to frontal attacks. They curl into a ball and roll.
- Locations: Found in various dungeons, including the Gnarled Root Dungeon and Unicorn's Cave.
- Strategy:
- These enemies are tricky. You cannot damage them from the front with your sword.
- Wait for them to charge, then use your Shield to deflect them. This will flip them onto their back.
- Once flipped, quickly strike their exposed underside with your Sword.
- Alternatively, a well-placed Bomb can also flip them over.
- Drops: Occasionally drop Recovery Hearts.
Like Like
- Description: Blob-like creatures that can swallow Link and steal his shield.
- Locations: Found in later dungeons such as the Dancing Dragon Dungeon and Ancient Ruins.
- Strategy:
- Avoid being touched by a Like Like at all costs, especially if you have a valuable shield like the Mirror Shield.
- If swallowed, mash buttons to escape. If you escape quickly enough, you might retrieve your shield.

- The Boomerang can stun them, giving you a safe window to attack.
- Drops: Rarely drop Rupees (red) or Recovery Hearts.
Ghini
- Description: Ghostly enemies that appear in graveyards and dark areas. They are often accompanied by a tombstone.
- Locations: Most prominently found in the Graveyard area.

- Drops: May drop Recovery Hearts or Mystery Seeds.
