Magic Rings List & Effects

Magic Rings are special equippable items in Oracle of Seasons that grant Link various passive abilities, from defensive boosts to unique transformations. To equip a ring, you must first appraise it at Vasu's Ring Shop in Horon Village. Once appraised, you can equip one ring at a time from your inventory. Experiment with different rings to find the ones that best suit your playstyle and the challenges you face!

Appraising Rings at Vasu's Shop

Before any ring can be used, it must be identified. Vasu, the friendly ring expert in Horon Village, is your go-to guy for this. His shop is located in the northeast corner of Horon Village, just north of the main path. Simply speak to him, select "Appraise Ring," and he'll identify any unappraised rings in your possession for free. He also provides a handy Ring Box to store your growing collection.

Ring Box Upgrades

Initially, your Ring Box can only hold one ring. As you progress through your adventure, you'll want to upgrade it to carry more. There are two upgrades available:

  • 2-Ring Box: This upgrade is found in a Gasha Seed sprout. Plant a Gasha Seed in one of the many soft soil spots around Holodrum (e.g., south of Horon Village, near the Western Coast, or in North Horon). Once the sprout grows and you harvest it, you might receive the 2-Ring Box. Keep planting and harvesting until you get it!
  • 5-Ring Box: The final Ring Box upgrade is obtained by completing the Trading Sequence. This involves a series of trades with various NPCs across Holodrum. The specific item you'll receive for the 5-Ring Box is the Member's Card, which you then trade to the Subrosian Dance Hall Master.
