Phases & Strategy:

  1. Phase 1 (Invisible & Charging): Crayk is a giant crab-like creature that starts invisible. He will charge at Link, attempting to ram him. Dodge his attacks. When he becomes visible, quickly shoot an arrow at his eye with your Bow. This will stun him.
  2. Phase 2 (Shell Removal): While Crayk is stunned, quickly use your Grappling Hook on his back. This will pull off a piece of his hard shell, revealing a soft, vulnerable spot underneath.
  3. Phase 3 (Vulnerable Core): Once a piece of shell is removed, rush in and attack the exposed soft spot with your sword.

Repeat these phases until Crayk is defeated. As he takes more damage, he will become faster and more aggressive. He may also try to re-cover his exposed spots, requiring you to repeat the shell removal process. Stay mobile and precise with your Bow and Grappling Hook. After his defeat, collect the Heart Container and the Pure Metal.

While Phantom Hourglass utilizes the touch screen to track the invisible Crayk, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess similarly requires players to reveal hidden enemies using Wolf Link’s senses.
