Fishing is a relaxing and rewarding side activity in Phantom Hourglass. You'll acquire the Fishing Rod from a character on one of the islands (usually after completing a small task for them). Once you have the rod, you can fish from the docks of most islands. To fish, equip the Fishing Rod and tap the water. A mini-game will begin where you need to tap the screen to reel in your line when a fish bites. Different types of fish can be caught in different locations, and some are rarer than others. The fish you catch can be sold for Rupees, but more importantly, some characters on various islands will offer rewards for specific types or sizes of fish. These rewards can include Heart Containers, Spirit Gems, or valuable ship parts. Keep a lookout for characters with speech bubbles indicating they are looking for fish. Fishing can be a great way to earn extra Rupees and acquire rare items, so don't overlook this peaceful pastime.
