Welcome, brave adventurer! Your journey continues to the Isle of Courage, a proving ground for those seeking true strength. Prepare yourself, for the trials within the Temple of Courage await!

Arriving at the Isle of Courage

After navigating the treacherous seas to the coordinates A-3, you will arrive at the Isle of Courage. Disembark your ship and take a moment to explore the immediate surroundings before entering the temple.

• Stock Up: Break the various pots and cut the tall grass scattered around the island for Rupees and occasional hearts. There are also a few bushes near the temple entrance that can yield supplies.
• Speak to the Locals: You'll find Old Wayfarer near the temple entrance. Speak with him; he offers cryptic advice about the temple's challenges and hints at the importance of the Boomerang.
• Fairy Fountain: To the east of the temple entrance, behind some rocks, you can find a hidden Fairy Fountain. If you're low on health, two fairies will restore your hearts.

Entering the Temple of Courage

The entrance to the Temple of Courage is straightforward. Simply walk up to the main doors and interact with them. A short cutscene will play, showing the temple's imposing facade and setting the stage for the challenges ahead.

Temple of Courage: Floor 1F

Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a relatively open chamber. Your primary goal here is to locate the first key to progress deeper into the temple.

• Initial Chamber: You'll start in a large room with a central platform. Immediately, you'll encounter two Miniblins. Dispatch them with your Sword.
• Pressure Plate Puzzle: Notice the pressure plate on the floor in the center of the room. Step on it to open the door to the north.
• North Room - First Small Key:
  • Enter the newly opened northern room. Here you'll find three more Miniblins and two Keese. Defeat all enemies.
  • Once all enemies are defeated, a Small Key will appear in a chest in the center of the room.
  • Collect the Small Key.
• Locked Door: Return to the initial chamber. Use the Small Key on the locked door to the east.

Temple of Courage: Floor B1 - Boomerang Acquisition

Descending to the basement, the challenges will become significantly more complex. This floor introduces new enemy types and, crucially, the Boomerang.

• Central Chamber: You'll enter a large, dark chamber. Immediately, you'll be attacked by several Keese. Use your Sword to clear them out.
• Boomerang Chest: In the center of this chamber, you'll spot a large chest on a raised platform, surrounded by a gap. This chest contains the Boomerang. To reach it:
  • Look for a crystal switch on the eastern wall, out of reach.
  • To the west, there's a torch. Light your Sword with the torch.
  • Now, use your lit Sword to light the unlit torch near the crystal switch. This will activate a hidden platform, allowing you to cross the gap to the chest.
  • Open the chest to acquire the Boomerang!
• Boomerang Tutorial: The game will prompt you with a tutorial on how to use the Boomerang. Draw a path on the touch screen for it to follow. It can hit distant objects, collect items, and stun enemies.

Temple of Courage: Floor B1 - Boomerang Puzzles & Boss Key

With the Boomerang in hand, you can now tackle the more intricate puzzles of B1.

• Boomerang Switch Puzzle (East):
  • From the central Boomerang chamber, head east. You'll find a room with a locked door and a crystal switch on the other side of a gap.
  • Draw a path with your Boomerang to hit the crystal switch. This will open the locked door.
  • Proceed through the door. You'll encounter a few Bubble enemies. These are invulnerable to your Sword when their flame is active. Use your Boomerang to temporarily extinguish their flame, then strike with your Sword.
  • In this room, you'll find a pressure plate. Step on it to open a path back to the central chamber, creating a shortcut.
• Boomerang Torch Puzzle (West):
  • From the central Boomerang chamber, head west. You'll find a dark room with several unlit torches and a locked door.
  • There's a single lit torch in the corner. Use your Boomerang to draw a path from the lit torch to each of the unlit torches, lighting them all.
  • Once all torches are lit, the locked door to the north will open.
  • Inside this room, you'll face an Armos. To defeat it, wait for it to charge, then dodge. Its back will briefly open, revealing a weak point. Strike it with your Sword. Repeat until defeated.
  • After defeating the Armos, a chest containing a Small Key will appear. Collect it.
• The Boss Key Chamber:
  • Return to the central Boomerang chamber. Use the newly acquired Small Key on the locked door to the north.
  • This chamber contains several Miniblins and Keese. Clear them out.
  • You'll notice a large, ornate chest on a raised platform, guarded by a series of moving blocks and fire traps.
  • To reach the chest, you need to use your Boomerang to hit a series of crystal switches that control the moving blocks.
    1. First, hit the crystal switch on the left to move the first block.
    2. Cross the block, then hit the next crystal switch to move the second block.
    3. Carefully navigate the path, avoiding the fire traps. You may need to draw precise Boomerang paths to hit switches from safe positions.
  • Once you reach the platform, open the large chest to obtain the Boss Key.

Temple of Courage: Boss Chamber - Cyclok

With the Boss Key in hand, make your way to the large, locked door at the northern end of B1. This is the entrance to the boss chamber. Take a deep breath, ensure your health is full, and prepare for battle against Cyclok, the Wind-Wielder.

Boss: Cyclok, the Wind-Wielder

Cyclok is a large, cycloptic creature that floats in the air, manipulating wind currents. Your newly acquired Boomerang is absolutely essential for this fight.

• Recommended Loadout:
  • Weapon: Sword (for direct attacks)
  • Item 1: Boomerang (critical for stunning and manipulating)
  • Item 2: Bombs (optional, but can be useful for quick damage if Cyclok is stunned near the ground)
• Phase 1: Exposing the Eye
  • Cyclok will float around the arena, occasionally swooping down to attack or creating gusts of wind to push you back.
  • Its primary defense is its large, armored body. However, its single eye is vulnerable.
  • Strategy: Wait for Cyclok to either hover lower or perform an attack that brings it closer to the ground. You need to use your Boomerang to hit its eye. This will stun Cyclok and cause it to fall to the ground, temporarily exposing its weak point.
  • Common Pitfall: Don't try to hit the eye when it's too high or moving too fast; your Boomerang will likely miss or be deflected. Time your throw carefully.
• Phase 2: Attacking the Weak Point
  • Once Cyclok is stunned and on the ground, rush in and unleash a flurry of Sword attacks on its exposed eye.
  • Cyclok will recover quickly, so maximize your damage during this window.
  • Repeat: This battle is a cycle of stunning Cyclok with the Boomerang and then attacking with your Sword.
• Cyclok's Attacks:
  • Wind Gust: Cyclok will create strong gusts of wind that push Link back. If you get pushed into the spikes on the arena's edge, you'll take damage. Try to move against the wind or use your Shield.
  • Body Slam: Cyclok may attempt to slam its body onto Link. Dodge out of the way using the stylus.
• Victory: Keep repeating the Boomerang-stun and Sword-attack strategy. After enough hits, Cyclok will be defeated.

Rewards

Upon defeating Cyclok, you will be rewarded with:

• Heart Container: This permanently increases your maximum health by one heart.
• Spirit Gem: This crucial item is required to progress the main story. It will be automatically added to your collection.
