Phase 1: Hand Attacks
Mazaal is a giant stone hand. It will try to crush Link with its fingers and summon smaller enemies.
Strategy
- Shrink and Enter: When Mazaal slams its hand down, look for a small opening on its palm. Shrink down using the Minish portal and enter the hand.
- Destroy Tendons: Inside, you'll find several tendons. Attack them with your sword.
- Exit and Repeat: After destroying a few tendons, Mazaal will shake you out. Grow back to normal size and repeat the process until all tendons are destroyed.
Phase 2: Eye Attacks
Once all tendons are destroyed, Mazaal's eye will appear in the center of the room.
- Dodge and Shoot: Mazaal's eye will shoot projectiles. Dodge them and use your Bow to shoot arrows at the eye.
- Split and Attack: When the eye is stunned, use the Four Sword cloning panels (if available, otherwise just attack) to create clones and unleash a powerful multi-sword attack on the eye.
- Repeat: Continue dodging and attacking until Mazaal is defeated.
Reward: Heart Container, Wind Element.
The first phase requires quick shrinking and precise movement inside the hand. The second phase tests your archery skills and, if you have the Four Sword, your ability to create clones effectively. If you don't have the Four Sword yet (which is possible if you tackle this dungeon early), you'll just need to hit the eye with more arrows. The key is to stay mobile and prioritize dodging Mazaal's attacks while looking for openings to inflict damage.
