Kinstone Fusions

Kinstone Fusions are a unique collectible mechanic in The Minish Cap. By finding matching Kinstone pieces and fusing them with various NPCs, you can trigger events, open new paths, and uncover hidden treasures. There are over 100 Kinstone Fusions in the game, so keep an eye out for anyone with a speech bubble above their head!

  • Important Kinstone Fusion Rewards:
    • Goron Quest: Fusing with various Gorons will eventually lead to the Biggoron Sword.
    • Tingle Brothers: Fusing with the Tingle brothers (Tingle, Ankle, Knuckle, David Jr.) will reveal beanstalks leading to Heart Pieces and other goodies.
    • House Upgrades: Fusing with certain townspeople can lead to upgrades for Link's house, such as a larger storage chest.
    • Secret Caves and Passages: Many fusions will open hidden caves, reveal secret passages, or make chests appear in unexpected locations.
  • Tips for Kinstone Hunting:
    • Talk to Everyone: Many NPCs will offer Kinstone Fusions, even if they don't explicitly ask for them.
    • Revisit Areas: New NPCs and Kinstone opportunities often appear as you progress through the story or acquire new items.
    • Check Minish Areas: explore Minish-sized areas, as many Minish creatures offer fusions.
    • Use the Kinstone Bag: Keep track of your Kinstone pieces in the Kinstone Bag to see which types you still need.

The Tiger Scrolls teach Link new sword techniques, making him a more versatile and powerful fighter. There are eight scrolls to collect, each offering a distinct advantage in combat.

  • Spin Attack: Taught by Swiftblade in Hyrule Town. Available early in the game.
  • Dash Attack: Taught by Swiftblade after acquiring the Pegasus Boots.
  • Peril Beam: Taught by Swiftblade after Link has only one heart remaining.
  • Rock Breaker: Taught by Swiftblade after Link obtains the Mole Mitts.
  • Roll Attack: Taught by Swiftblade after Link obtains the Roc's Cape.
  • Down Thrust: Taught by Swiftblade after Link has completed the fourth dungeon.
  • Great Spin Attack: Taught by Swiftblade after Link has learned all other techniques and collected all eight Tiger Scrolls. This is the ultimate sword technique!
  • Split Blade: Taught by Grimblade in the Castor Wilds. You'll need to fuse Kinstones with a specific NPC to open his dojo.

Bottles

Bottles are invaluable for carrying potions, fairies, or even special liquids. There are four bottles to find in The Minish Cap.

  • Bottle 1: Purchased from the merchant in Hyrule Town for 100 Rupees.
  • Bottle 2: Found in the Minish Woods, inside a cave accessible after obtaining the Gust Jar. Use the Gust Jar to clear the spider webs.

  • Bottle 4: Found in the Wind Ruins. You'll need to use the Roc's Cape to reach a hidden platform.

Figurines

Figurines are a fun, optional collectible that can be obtained from the Carlov's Figurine Shop in Hyrule Town. Each figurine costs 10 Rupees and is awarded randomly. There are 130 figurines in total, depicting characters, enemies, and items from the game. Collecting them all will earn you a special reward!

  • Strategy: The key to collecting all figurines is persistence and a healthy supply of Rupees. You can earn Rupees by cutting grass, defeating enemies, or playing mini-games.
  • Reward: After collecting all 130 figurines, talk to Carlov to receive the Sound Stone, which allows you to listen to the game's soundtrack.

This checklist should provide a solid foundation for your collectible hunting adventure. Good luck, Link, and may the Minish Cap guide your way!
