Location: Given by the Old Man in the first cave. Your starting weapon.

Use: Link's basic attack. Essential for defeating most enemies.

Location: Found in a cave one screen north and one screen west of the starting cave, after acquiring 5 Heart Containers.

Use: Twice as powerful as the Wooden Sword. A significant upgrade for mid-game.

Location: Found in a cave one screen north of the Lost Hills (three armos statues), after acquiring 12 Heart Containers.

Use: The most powerful sword in the game. Essential for the final dungeons and Ganon.

Location: Link starts with it. Can be purchased from shops if lost.

Use: Blocks small projectiles like Octorok rocks and some Wizzrobe magic.

Location: Can be purchased from various shops, often for 130 Rupees.

Use: Blocks more powerful projectiles, including Darknut swords and some boss attacks. Highly recommended.
