Captain MacReady is a cunning rival Spacer who relies on a combination of high 'Ranged' skills, tactical grenades, and a well-equipped crew. He often has a unique, powerful weapon. His weak points are his head and unarmored body parts. Use Physical or Plasma damage. The key to this fight is managing his companions first, as they can quickly overwhelm you. Use area-of-effect abilities or grenades to clear his crew, then focus on MacReady. He will often use cover and try to flank you. Utilize your own grenades to flush him out. Companions with 'Defense' or 'Melee' skills can engage him directly, drawing his fire. TTD is excellent for landing headshots when he peeks from cover. Be prepared for him to use healing items or buffs, so try to burst him down quickly once his companions are dealt with. This fight is a test of your overall combat proficiency and tactical awareness.
