Common Bugs & Fixes

Players have also encountered issues with Sim relationships and family tree connections, especially when inviting relatives from other households to join a dynasty. Sometimes, new relationships might not register correctly, or the family tree might display inaccuracies. A workaround for this is to manually manage relationships using cheats (as described in the Cheats section) after inviting new members, or to ensure all Sims involved are properly saved and reloaded within the game world. For persistent family tree errors, try using a mod like Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul which can sometimes help correct underlying data issues.
Graphical glitches, such as flickering textures or incorrect lighting, can sometimes occur, especially on older hardware or after game updates. Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. If the issue is specific to certain objects, like the royal throne or specific decor items, try removing and re-placing them in Build/Buy mode.
