Fishing & Angling — The Sims 4 Guide

Fishing is a method for collecting various items in The Sims 4, including frogs. This activity can be done in multiple locations and contributes to completing collections, particularly for Sims with the Curator aspiration. Understanding where to fish and what to look for can significantly aid your collecting efforts.

Frogs can be collected by searching from fishing spots found in Magnolia Blossom Park and Desert Bloom Park. They can also be found in moss-covered logs or old wells. The Curator aspiration heavily focuses on collecting, with multiple milestones requiring the Sim to obtain crystals and other collectibles.

  • Collecting Starts at Home: Spawners are in every Neighborhood. Check around your homes before traveling.
  • Pause the Game: When looking for collectibles, pause the game to scan borders and middle areas for spawners. Look from different angles to spot hidden items.
  • Run a Pattern: Explore several Neighborhoods as your Sim's Energy allows. Pause the game to look for plant sparkles and rock shapes.
  • Day by Day: Spawners create items about once a day. Visit unexplored Neighborhoods, and especially Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto (with Level 10 Handiness), as these areas have a higher chance of Rares and some exclusive items.
  • Visit the Parks: Oasis Springs' Park can have up to 8 dig spots, and Willow Creek usually has several.
