In the vast world of Aida, expressing your unique identity is a core part of your journey. Tower of Fantasy offers robust character customization options, allowing you to craft a Wanderer that truly reflects your style. This guide will walk you through the initial creation process and how to modify your appearance later in the game.

Initial Character Creation

Upon starting a new game, you'll be immediately thrust into the character creation screen. This is your first opportunity to define your Wanderer's look. Take your time here, as some options are more difficult to change later.

• Gender Selection: Your first choice will be between a male or female base model. This choice is permanent for your character.
• Appearance Presets: The game offers several pre-designed character models. These are excellent starting points if you're feeling overwhelmed or just want to jump into the action quickly. You can still modify these presets extensively.
• Detailed Customization Options: Dive into the various tabs to fine-tune every aspect of your Wanderer:
  • Hair: Choose from a wide array of hairstyles, hair colors, and even highlights. Experiment with different shades to find your perfect match.
  • Face: This section is incredibly detailed. You can adjust:
    • Facial Structure: Modify jawline, cheekbones, chin, and overall face shape.
    • Eyes: Control eye shape, size, color (iris and pupil), and even the angle.
    • Nose: Adjust bridge, tip, and nostril size.
    • Mouth: Customize lip shape, size, and color.
    • Eyebrows: Select different brow shapes, thickness, and colors.
    • Makeup: Apply various styles of eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick.
  • Body: While less extensive than facial customization, you can adjust your character's height and body proportions to a certain degree.
  • Outfits: Initial outfits are limited, but you can preview how different clothing styles might look on your character. More outfits become available through gameplay, events, and the in-game store.
• Import/Export Customization: Tower of Fantasy features a fantastic community-driven customization system.
  • Import: If you find a character design you love online (often shared via social media or community hubs), you can import its unique ID code directly into the character creator. This will instantly load that design onto your character, saving you hours of manual adjustment. Look for codes like [Character ID: XXXXXX].
  • Export: Conversely, if you've spent time crafting a masterpiece, you can export your character's design to generate a unique ID. Share this with friends or the community!

Changing Your Appearance In-Game

Don't worry if you're not entirely satisfied with your initial creation. Tower of Fantasy allows you to modify your appearance later, though some changes come with a cost.

1. Locate the Appearance Customization Terminal:
   • The primary location for appearance changes is the Appearance Customization Terminal found in major hub cities. The most accessible one is typically in Aesperia's Cetus Island, near the main spawn point. You can also find them in Hykros and other large settlements.
   • Interact with this terminal to open the customization interface.
2. Available Modifications:
   • Free Changes: You can freely change your character's hair color, eye color, and makeup at any time without cost. Experiment to match your current outfit or mood!
   • Paid Changes: For more significant alterations, such as changing your hairstyle, facial features (shape, size of eyes, nose, mouth), or body proportions, you will need a specific item: the Appearance Change Card.
     • Obtaining Appearance Change Cards:
       • Dark Crystal Store: The most reliable way to acquire an Appearance Change Card is by purchasing it from the in-game store using Dark Crystals. These are a premium currency obtained through various in-game activities, achievements, and real-money purchases.
       • Event Rewards: Keep an eye on limited-time events. Occasionally, Appearance Change Cards are offered as rewards for participating in specific events or reaching certain milestones. Check the Event tab regularly.
       • Battle Pass: Higher tiers of the paid Battle Pass (Collector's Edition or Deluxe Edition) sometimes include an Appearance Change Card as a reward.
     • Using the Card: Once you possess an Appearance Change Card, simply select the desired modifications at the Appearance Customization Terminal. The card will be consumed upon confirming your changes.
3. Outfit Changes:
   • Outfits (clothing) can be changed at any time through your Backpack (B key by default) under the "Appearance" tab.
   • New outfits are acquired through the Gachapon (Special Orders), Event Shops, Achievement Rewards, and the Item Store.
   • Remember that outfits are purely cosmetic and do not affect your character's stats or combat performance.
