Legacy of the Moonspell - Stage Walkthrough

The Legacy of the Moonspell DLC introduces the Mt. Inferno stage, a fiery and challenging new environment. This walkthrough will guide you through the key points and enemy encounters you'll face as you delve into this volcanic landscape.

Upon starting in Mt. Inferno, you'll be greeted by a dense cluster of enemies. Your immediate priority should be to secure a strong early-game weapon. The Magic Wand is a solid choice here, as its homing projectiles can help clear out the initial waves. As you progress, keep an eye out for experience gems to level up quickly. The stage des features several open areas interspersed with narrow passages, which can be both beneficial and detrimental depending on enemy density.

Around the 5-minute mark, expect to encounter tougher variants of existing enemies, along with new threats unique to Mt. Inferno. The Fire Imps, for instance, will begin to swarm, and their projectile attacks can quickly overwhelm an unprepared survivor. Prioritize weapons that offer area-of-effect damage, such as the Garlic or King Bible, to manage these growing hordes. Look for the Spellbinder passive item early on, as it significantly boosts weapon effectiveness and is crucial for many evolutions.

As you approach the 10-minute mark, the pace intensifies. Larger, more powerful enemies will start to appear, including the formidable Hellfire. These enemies have higher health pools and deal more damage, so having evolved weapons is paramount. The Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow combination, when evolved into the Phieraggi, can be incredibly effective at clearing large groups and dealing sustained damage. Remember to use the stage's layout to your advantage; funneling enemies into choke points can make them easier to manage.

The latter half of the run in Mt. Inferno will test your build's endurance. Waves of enemies will become relentless, and bosses will appear with greater frequency. The Greatest Jubilee evolution, if acquired, can be a lifesaver with its screen-clearing explosions. Always be on the lookout for chests, as they can provide valuable power-ups and potentially the passive items needed for your weapon evolutions. Surviving the full 30 minutes in Mt. Inferno requires a well-rounded build that can handle both single-target threats and massive swarms.
