Prepare to reclaim Azeroth!
Mission 1: Hillsbrad
Objective: Establish a base and destroy all Orc forces.
- Initial Setup: You begin with a Town Hall, Barracks, and several Peasants. Immediately assign all Peasants to gather Gold from the nearby Gold Mine.
- Early Game:
- Train 2-3 additional Peasants to accelerate resource gathering.
- Construct a Lumber Mill near a forest to begin Wood collection.
- Build a Farm to increase your Food supply.
- Start training Footmen from the Barracks. Aim for at least 4-5 Footmen initially.
- Mid Game & Expansion:
- Scout the immediate area with a Footman to locate enemy positions and additional resources. There's usually a small Orc outpost to the north or northeast.
- Once you have 6-8 Footmen, push towards the nearest Orc encampment. Focus fire on their Peons first, then their Barracks, and finally their Town Hall.
- Continue training Footmen and Peasants as needed. Maintain a steady income of Gold and Wood.
- Victory Condition: Systematically clear out all remaining Orc structures and units on the map. Pay close attention to the minimap for any hidden stragglers.
Mission 2: Southshore
Objective: Rescue the captured Knights and destroy the Orc prison camp.
- Initial Setup: You start with a small force of Footmen and a few Peasants. No Town Hall initially.
- Path to the Prison:
- Move your starting units cautiously along the main path. You'll encounter small groups of Orc Grunts. Use your Footmen to engage them.
- Keep your Peasants safe behind your fighting units.
- You will soon come across a small Human outpost with a Town Hall and Barracks. Immediately assign your Peasants to the Gold Mine and begin training more.
- Base Building & Reinforcement:
- As in Mission 1, prioritize Gold and Wood collection. Build a Lumber Mill and Farms.
- Train a steady stream of Footmen. You'll need a strong force to assault the prison.
- Consider building an Archery Range to train Archers for ranged support, especially against enemy Towers.
- Assaulting the Prison:
- The Orc prison camp is typically located to the north or northwest of your base. It will be defended by Grunts, Trolls, and potentially a Watch Tower.
- Gather a force of at least 10-12 Footmen and 4-6 Archers.
- Advance slowly, using your Archers to target Watch Towers from a distance.
- Once inside the camp, destroy the Orc Barracks and any other production buildings first to prevent reinforcements.
- Locate the Prison structure (it looks like a cage). Destroying it will release the captured Knights, who will then join your forces.
- Final Push: With the Knights added to your army, systematically eliminate any remaining Orc presence to secure victory.
Mission 3: Tol Barad
Objective: Establish a naval base and destroy all Orc ships and coastal defenses.
- Initial Setup: You begin with a Town Hall, Barracks, and Peasants on a small island.
- Resource Management & Early Defense:
- Immediately get Peasants on Gold and Wood. This mission emphasizes naval power, so Wood will be crucial.
- Train a few Footmen for local defense against potential early Orc raids.
- Build a Shipyard as soon as possible. This requires a Lumber Mill first.
- Naval Dominance:
- Your primary goal is to build a fleet. Start by constructing Transport Ships to scout and potentially ferry units, but your main offensive will come from Destroyers.
- Train at least 4-6 Destroyers. These are excellent against other ships and coastal structures.
- Scout the surrounding waters. The Orcs will have their own Shipyards and Oil Platforms.
- You'll need to build an Oil Refinery and Oil Platform to gather Oil, which is essential for advanced naval units and upgrades. Locate an Oil Patch in the water and send a Peasant to build the Platform.
- Coastal Assault:
- Use your Destroyers to bombard Orc Shipyards, Oil Platforms, and coastal Watch Towers.
- Once the immediate coast is clear, you can use Transport Ships to ferry Footmen and Archers to enemy landmasses to finish off any remaining ground forces or structures that your ships can't reach.
- Be wary of Orc Submarines if they appear; your Destroyers can detect and attack them.
- Victory Condition: Eliminate all Orc naval units and structures, including any coastal defenses.
