Upon starting the game, you'll be presented with a choice of three starter Warframes: Excalibur, Mag, and Volt. Each offers a distinct playstyle:
- Excalibur: A balanced, melee-focused Warframe with good crowd control and damage. His abilities include Radial Blind (stuns enemies), Slash Dash (dashes through enemies), and Exalted Blade (summons a powerful energy sword). He's often recommended for new players due to his versatility.
- Mag: A caster-focused Warframe specializing in manipulating enemy shields and armor. Her abilities include Pull (draws enemies in), Magnetize (creates a magnetic field), and Crush (damages and lifts enemies). She excels against Corpus enemies.
- Volt: A speed and electricity-focused Warframe. His abilities include Shock (stuns and damages), Speed (boosts movement and attack speed), and Electric Shield (provides cover and buffs projectiles). He's great for quickly traversing maps and supporting allies.
You'll also choose a primary weapon (Mk1-Braton, Mk1-Paris, Mk1-Strun), a secondary weapon (Mk1-Kunai, Mk1-Lato, Mk1-Furis), and a melee weapon (Mk1-Bo, Mk1-Skana, Mk1-Dual Skana). Don't stress too much about these initial choices; you'll quickly acquire blueprints for better gear. The Mk1-Braton (rifle), Mk1-Lato (pistol), and Mk1-Skana (sword) are solid all-around choices.
