Side Quests & Activities

Warframe offers various side quests and activities beyond main missions, including collecting Cephalon Fragments and scanning objects. These activities provide lore, unlock artwork, and contribute to your Codex. Engage in these to deepen your understanding of the Origin System and its inhabitants.

Side quests and activities in Warframe encompass a range of tasks that enrich the game experience. One notable activity involves collecting Cephalon Fragments. These fragments appear as blue quadruple diamonds on the mini-map if loot radar mods are equipped. Scanning a fragment unlocks a portion of associated artwork and reveals lore about Factions, Characters, and Planets within the Origin System. Cephalon Fragments can be found once per mission in random locations, but they will not spawn in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.

Another significant activity is scanning various Objects found throughout the game. These static or miscellaneous items can be scanned with a Codex Scanner and are categorized in the Codex. Examples of scannable objects include:

Storage Container
Resource Cache
Kuva Siphon
Kuria
Thousand-Year Fish

Raid missions were previously available but have since been removed during an update. The upcoming "Whispers in the Walls" content is launching in Winter 2023, offering new experiences.
