Corrupted Mods:
These mods provide a large buff to one stat while imposing a penalty on another. They are acquired from Orokin Vaults in the Orokin Derelict (now Deimos) missions. Examples:
- Blind Rage: +Ability Strength, -Ability Efficiency.
- Fleeting Expertise: +Ability Efficiency, -Ability Duration.
- Narrow Minded: +Ability Duration, -Ability Range.
- Transient Fortitude: +Ability Strength, -Ability Duration.
These are essential for many endgame Warframe builds, allowing for highly specialized stat distributions.
Riven Mods:
Unlocked after 'The War Within', Riven Mods are unique, randomized mods for specific weapons. They offer powerful, often multiple, stat bonuses but can also have negative stats. They are acquired from Sorties, Kuva Liches, or as rare drops.
- Unveiling: Rivens are initially veiled and require completing a specific challenge to reveal their stats.
- Rerolling: You can reroll a Riven's stats using Kuva, a rare resource. This is a highly RNG-dependent process.
- Disposition: Each weapon has a 'Riven Disposition' (from 0.5 to 1.5), which scales the Riven's stats. Less popular weapons have higher dispositions, making their Rivens more powerful.
