Crafting is central to Warframe's progression. Almost all new Warframes, weapons, and many other items are built in your Orbiter's Foundry using blueprints and resources.
Resource Types:
- Common Resources: Ferrite, Rubedo, Nano Spores, Alloy Plate, Circuits, Polymer Bundles. Found on specific planets.
- Rare Resources: Orokin Cell, Neurodes, Neural Sensors, Argon Crystal, Control Module. Also found on specific planets, often in smaller quantities or from specific enemies.
- Open World Resources: Unique to Plains of Eidolon, Orb Vallis, and Cambion Drift (e.g., Cetus Wisp, Toroids, Necramech parts).
- Derelict/Void Resources: Mutagen Sample, Nav Coordinates, Orokin Void Key.
- Fish/Mining/Conservation: Resources obtained from specific open-world activities.
Farming: Resources are acquired by completing missions, breaking containers, killing enemies, and participating in open-world activities. Replaying missions on planets known for specific resources is common practice. Resource Boosters (purchased with Platinum) double resource drops.
Crafting Process:
- Acquire a blueprint (Market, Dojo, Quest, Drop).
- Gather required resources.
- Initiate crafting in the Foundry.
- Wait for the crafting timer to complete (can be rushed with Platinum).
- Claim the item.
