Achievements & Trophies

Welcome, resistance fighter! This section is your comprehensive guide to unlocking every Achievement and Trophy in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Whether you're a completionist aiming for that coveted Platinum or just looking to snag a few extra Gamerscore points, we've got you covered. Many achievements are story-related and will unlock naturally as you progress, but others require specific actions, careful exploration, or multiple playthroughs. We'll break down the trickier ones with actionable steps and precise locations.

Story-Related Achievements/Trophies

These will unlock automatically as you complete the main campaign missions. You cannot miss them.

  • A New Beginning: Complete Chapter 1.
  • Prison Break: Escape the Eisenwald Prison in Chapter 2.
  • Resistance Fighter: Join the Kreisau Circle in Chapter 3.
  • London Calling: Reach London Nautica in Chapter 4.
  • Underground: Navigate the London Underground in Chapter 5.
  • Bridge over Troubled Water: Cross the London Bridge in Chapter 6.
  • The Train: Infiltrate the Nazi train in Chapter 7.
  • Escape!: Escape the Berlin Catacombs in Chapter 8.
  • Lunar Landing: Reach the Lunar Base in Chapter 9.
  • Space Race: Escape the Lunar Base in Chapter 10.
  • Return to Earth: Return to Earth in Chapter 11.
  • The Final Showdown: Confront Deathshead in Chapter 12.
  • Liberator: Complete the game on any difficulty.

Collectibles & Exploration Achievements/Trophies

These achievements require you to find hidden items throughout the game. There are four main types of collectibles: Gold Items, Enigma Codes, Letters, and Health/Armor Upgrades. We recommend tackling these on a separate playthrough or using chapter select after completing the game once, as some areas become inaccessible.

Gold Collector

There are 50 Gold Items scattered across all chapters. Finding them all will unlock:

  • Gold Miner: Collect 10 Gold Items.
  • Gold Digger: Collect 25 Gold Items.
  • Gold Master: Collect all 50 Gold Items.

Strategy: Gold items are often well-hidden in corners, behind objects, or in secret rooms. Always check side paths, ventilation shafts, and areas that seem out of the way. Use your "Interact" button liberally when near suspicious objects. Many can be found by thoroughly exploring each area before advancing the main objective. For a detailed list of each Gold Item's location per chapter, refer to the "Collectibles" section of this guide.

Enigma Code Breaker

There are 10 Enigma Code pieces per chapter, for a total of 100. Collecting all of them allows you to unlock bonus game modes from the main menu.

  • Enigma Hunter: Collect 10 Enigma Code pieces.
  • Enigma Decoder: Collect 25 Enigma Code pieces.
  • Enigma Master: Collect all 100 Enigma Code pieces.

Strategy: Enigma Codes are often found on desks, tables, or within small, easily overlooked areas. They glow faintly, making them somewhat easier to spot than Gold Items. Pay close attention to enemy patrol routes, as some codes are in areas heavily guarded by Commanders. Stealth approaches are often beneficial for collecting these without engaging in large firefights. Again, consult the "Collectibles" section for specific locations.

Letter Reader

There are 10 Letters from the Resistance hidden throughout the game.

  • Letter Reader: Collect all 10 Letters.

Strategy: Letters provide additional lore and insight into the world. They are typically found in safe houses, civilian areas, or within the Resistance HQ. They are usually placed on tables, beds, or shelves. Unlike Gold Items and Enigma Codes, there's only one per chapter (or none in some chapters, and two in others). Keep an eye out for them in less combat-intensive areas.

Combat & Skill Achievements/Trophies

These achievements require specific combat actions, weapon mastery, or perk unlocks.

Perk Master

Unlocking all perks in a specific category (Stealth, Tactical, Assault, Demolition) will grant you achievements.

  • Stealth Master: Unlock all Stealth Perks.
  • Tactical Master: Unlock all Tactical Perks.
  • Assault Master: Unlock all Assault Perks.
  • Demolition Master: Unlock all Demolition Perks.

Strategy: Perks are unlocked by performing specific actions repeatedly. For example, the "Stealth Master" requires numerous stealth takedowns, silent kills with the Throwing Knife, and using silenced weapons. The "Assault Master" requires a high volume of kills with dual-wielded weapons and headshots. Focus on one perk tree at a time if you want to unlock these efficiently. You can track your progress in the "Perks" menu. Don't be afraid to replay earlier, less challenging chapters to grind out specific perk requirements.

Specific Kill Achievements

  • Knife Party: Perform 10 stealth takedowns with the Combat Knife.
    • Action: Approach an unaware enemy from behind and press the melee button (default R3/RS). This is easily done in early chapters like Chapter 1 or 2, especially during the stealth sections.
  • Grenade Party: Kill 5 enemies with a single grenade.
    • Action: Look for groups of clustered enemies. A good spot is during the initial assault on the prison in Chapter 2, where enemies often gather near the entrance. Cook your grenade slightly to ensure it detonates quickly upon impact.
  • Dual Wielder: Kill 10 enemies while dual-wielding any weapon.
    • Action: Once you acquire a second weapon of the same type (e.g., two Assault Rifles), press the dual-wield button (default Triangle/Y). Then, simply eliminate 10 enemies. This will come naturally if you frequently dual-wield.
  • Headshot Master: Get 50 headshots.
    • Action: Aim for the head! Use precision weapons like the Assault Rifle (single-shot mode) or the Marksman Rifle. Commanders are excellent targets for headshots due to their larger hitboxes.
  • Rocketman: Kill 5 enemies with a single rocket from the Rocket Launcher.
    • Action: The Rocket Launcher is acquired later in the game. Similar to the "Grenade Party" achievement, look for tight groups of enemies. The hangar area in Chapter 4 or the combat zones in Chapter 11 offer good opportunities.

Difficulty & Playthrough Achievements/Trophies

These achievements are tied to completing the game on specific difficulty settings or making key choices.

  • Supremacy: Complete the game on "I Am Death Incarnate!" difficulty.
    • Strategy: This is the game's hardest difficulty. Enemies are tougher, deal more damage, and health/armor pickups are scarcer. Utilize cover, stealth takedowns, and dual-wielding effectively. Prioritize eliminating Commanders quickly to prevent reinforcements. Saving frequently is crucial.
  • Uber Hero: Complete the game on "ÜBER" difficulty.
    • Strategy: The ultimate challenge. This difficulty is even harder than "I Am Death Incarnate!". Every shot counts, and you'll die very quickly. Mastering the game's mechanics, knowing enemy placements, and exploiting their weaknesses are essential. Consider playing through on a lower difficulty first to learn the levels.
  • Hardcore: Complete the game on "ULTRA" difficulty.
    • Strategy: This is a joke difficulty setting, essentially "I Am Death Incarnate!" with a visual filter. It's not actually harder, just more visually challenging. Complete the game on "I Am Death Incarnate!" and you'll get this automatically if you select it.
  • Vive la Résistance!: Complete the game after choosing Fergus.
    • Action: At the end of Chapter 1, you'll be forced to choose between saving Fergus or Wyatt. To unlock this achievement, choose to save Fergus. This choice impacts certain cutscenes and grants you the "Health Upgrade" perk line.
  • The New Order: Complete the game after choosing Wyatt.
    • Action: At the end of Chapter 1, choose to save Wyatt. This choice impacts different cutscenes and grants you the "Armor Upgrade" perk line. You will need two full playthroughs to get both "Vive la Résistance!" and "The New Order."

Good luck, soldier! With this guide, you'll be racking up those achievements and trophies in no time. Remember to enjoy the ride and blast some Nazis!
