Character Customization & Creation
Welcome to the ultimate guide for crafting your perfect Superstar in WWE 2K24! This detailed section will walk you through every step of the character creation process, from initial concept to fine-tuning their in-ring persona. Mastering these tools is crucial for dominating MyGM, MyRISE, and even online competition.
Getting Started: Create a Superstar (CAS)
To begin your journey, navigate to the main menu and select Creations. From there, choose Create a Superstar. You'll be presented with several options:
- New Custom Superstar: Start from scratch. This is where the magic happens!
- Edit Existing Superstar: Modify an existing WWE Superstar (e.g., give Roman Reigns a new outfit).
- Import Superstar: Load a previously saved custom Superstar or one downloaded from Community Creations.
For this guide, we'll focus on creating a New Custom Superstar.
Phase 1: Basic Information & Attributes
The first screen you encounter will establish the core identity of your Superstar.
Personal Information
- First Name / Last Name: Enter your Superstar's moniker. Keep it memorable!
- Nickname: Choose from a vast list of pre-recorded nicknames that the commentators will use. Experiment to find one that fits your character's style.
- Announced By: Select how your Superstar's name is announced. This can be a combination of their first/last name, nickname, or a custom combination.
- Hometown: Pick a city and state/country. This often influences crowd reactions and can be a fun role-playing element.
- Weight Class: This is a critical choice affecting gameplay mechanics. Options include:
- Cruiserweight (up to 220 lbs)
- Light Heavyweight (221-240 lbs)
- Heavyweight (241-280 lbs)
- Super Heavyweight (281+ lbs)
Strategy Tip: Lighter weight classes often have higher speed and agility, while heavier classes excel in strength and power moves. Consider your desired playstyle.
- Crowd Reaction: Determine if your Superstar is a Face (heroic, cheered) or a Heel (villainous, booed). This impacts their entrance and in-match crowd dynamics.
- Brand: Assign your Superstar to RAW, SmackDown, or NXT. This is important for MyGM mode and Universe Mode.
- Overall Rating: Initially, this will be low. It increases as you assign attribute points.
Attribute Points Distribution
This is where you define your Superstar's in-ring capabilities. You'll have a set number of points to distribute across various attributes. Each attribute contributes to your Superstar's overall rating and performance.
- Strength: Increases damage from power moves, ability to lift heavier opponents.
- Submission Offense/Defense: Affects how easily you can apply/escape submissions.
- Durability: Determines how much damage your Superstar can take before becoming vulnerable.
- Technique: Influences reversal windows and technical move damage.
- Speed: Dictates movement speed and running attack effectiveness.
- Agility: Impacts climbing speed, dive damage, and quickness.
- Stamina: How quickly your Superstar recovers from exertion and how long they can perform high-energy moves.
- Charisma: Affects crowd reactions and momentum gain.
- Reversal: Increases the likelihood and effectiveness of reversals.
Strategy Tip: Don't try to be good at everything. Focus on a few key attributes that align with your Superstar's fighting style. For example, a high-flying luchador would prioritize Speed and Agility, while a powerhouse would focus on Strength and Durability.
Phase 2: Appearance Customization
This is where you bring your Superstar to life visually. The customization options are incredibly deep.
Body
- Body Type: Choose from various presets (e.g., Muscular, Lean, Stocky).
- Body Morphing: Fine-tune individual body parts (head, chest, arms, legs, etc.) using sliders. This allows for incredibly unique physiques.
- Skin Color: Select from a wide palette.
Head
- Head Type: Start with a base head model.
- Head Morphing: Adjust every facial feature imaginable – eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, ears, cheeks, etc. Precision is key here.
- Hair: Choose from hundreds of hairstyles, including various lengths, textures, and colors. Don't forget facial hair!
- Eyes: Customize eye color, shape, and even the iris size.
- Eyebrows: Select shape, thickness, and color.
- Scars/Marks: Add battle scars, birthmarks, or other distinguishing features.
- Face Paint/Makeup: Apply intricate designs or subtle enhancements.
Attire
This is arguably the most extensive part of customization, allowing for multiple attire slots (Entrance and Ring Attire).
- Upper Body:
- Tops: T-shirts, vests, jackets, tank tops, hoodies.
- Arms: Elbow pads, wristbands, gloves, arm sleeves.
- Lower Body:
- Bottoms: Trunks, tights, shorts, jeans, skirts.
- Kneepads: Various styles and colors.
- Footwear:
- Boots: Wide array of wrestling boots, from classic to modern.
- Socks: Add an extra layer of detail.
- Accessories:
- Hats/Headwear: Bandanas, caps, crowns, masks.
- Glasses: Sunglasses, reading glasses.
- Chains/Necklaces: Bling and other adornments.
- Belts: Championship belts (if unlocked) or decorative belts.
- Logos & Designs: Apply custom logos or pre-made designs to any attire piece. You can upload your own images via the Community Creations portal.
- Materials & Colors: Every piece of attire can have its material (leather, cloth, metallic) and color adjusted. Experiment with different shades and patterns.
Strategy Tip: Create distinct Entrance and Ring Attires. Your entrance gear can be more elaborate, while your ring gear should be practical for wrestling. Think about your Superstar's gimmick – are they flashy, gritty, or traditional?
Phase 3: Moveset & Entrance
Once your Superstar looks the part, it's time to define how they perform in the ring and how they make their grand debut.
Moveset
This section is crucial for gameplay and allows you to assign every single move your Superstar will perform.
- Fighting Style: Choose a base style (e.g., Powerhouse, High-Flyer, Technician, Brawler). This influences some default moves and animations.
- Standard Actions: Define basic strikes, grapples, and Irish whips.
- Ground Attacks/Grapples: Moves performed on a downed opponent.
- Running Attacks: Strikes and grapples from a run.
- Aerial Attacks: Dives from the top rope or turnbuckle.
- Signature Moves: Two powerful, momentum-building moves.
- Finishing Moves: Up to three devastating finishers that can end a match.
- OMG! Moments: Context-sensitive, high-impact moves (e.g., breaking the announce table).
- Taunts: Crucial for building momentum and interacting with the crowd.
- Abilities: Unlock and assign special skills (e.g., Comeback, Resiliency, Dirty Pin). These are unlocked through gameplay or by spending VC.
Strategy Tip: Watch real WWE Superstars and try to emulate their movesets. Ensure your moves flow well together and complement your chosen fighting style. Don't just pick the highest damage moves; consider variety and realism.
Entrance
Your Superstar's entrance is their first impression. Make it count!
- Entrance Motion: Select from a wide variety of existing Superstar entrances or generic motions.
- Music: Choose from the in-game soundtrack or any unlocked WWE theme songs.
- Titantron: Assign a video display for your entrance.
- Lighting: Customize the arena lighting during your entrance.
- Pyro: Add fireworks and special effects.
- Championship Entrance: If your Superstar holds a title, you can customize their championship entrance animation.
Strategy Tip: Match your entrance to your Superstar's personality. A flashy high-flyer might have lots of pyro, while a serious brawler might have a more subdued, intense entrance.
Phase 4: Victory & Advanced Options
Victory Motion
How your Superstar celebrates after a win. Choose from various poses and animations.

Once you're satisfied, Save your custom Superstar. You can save multiple versions or overwrite existing ones. Your custom Superstar will now be available in Exhibition, Universe Mode, MyGM, and can even be uploaded to Community Creations for others to download.
