Yoshitaka Mine is the final boss of Yakuza 3, a formidable opponent with a unique fighting style and immense power. This fight is a true test of everything you've learned.

Phases & Strategy:
- Phase 1 (Full Health): Mine is incredibly fast and hits hard. He uses a mix of quick punches and powerful kicks. His signature move is a rapid combo that ends with a devastating kick. Your primary goal here is to guard (L1/LB) and dodge (Circle/B) his combos. Look for openings after he finishes a combo, usually a brief pause. Land 2-3 hits, then immediately guard or dodge away. Don't get greedy. Build Heat by successfully guarding and landing hits.
- Phase 2 (75% Health): Mine will become more aggressive and start incorporating powerful charge attacks. He'll often glow red, indicating a charge. These attacks are unblockable, so you MUST dodge them. A well-timed dodge can lead to a Heat Action prompt. Utilize your most powerful Heat Actions whenever possible, especially those that deal high damage or stun. Keep a close eye on your health and use healing items proactively.
- Phase 3 (50% Health): Mine will unleash his full power, often entering a 'Heat Mode' where he glows with a powerful aura. His attacks become even faster and more damaging. He might also use a powerful grab attack that leads to a QTE. Successfully complete the QTE to avoid massive damage. This phase requires extreme caution. Focus on survival, dodging, and only attacking when absolutely safe. If you have any powerful weapons, now is the time to use them.
- Phase 4 (25% Health): Mine will be desperate, but still incredibly dangerous. He might try to use his most powerful attacks more frequently. This is where your remaining healing items and Heat Actions will be critical. Stay calm, stick to your defensive strategy, and chip away at his health. The fight will end with a dramatic QTE sequence.
Weaknesses & Tips:
- Patience: Mine is not a boss to rush. Wait for openings.
- Dodging: Master the quickstep dodge. It's crucial for avoiding his unblockable attacks.
- Heat Actions: Save your Heat for powerful finishers, especially in later phases.
- Healing: Don't be afraid to use your best healing items.
- Weapons: A high-damage, durable weapon can help, but Mine is very good at disarming Kiryu.
