Beyond the basics, mastering these advanced combat techniques can elevate your fighting prowess:

- Quickstep Canceling: After landing a few hits in a combo, quickly dodge (Circle/B) to cancel the animation and reposition, or immediately start a new combo. This is great for maintaining pressure or avoiding counter-attacks.
- Wall Bounces: Throw enemies into walls or objects to stun them, creating openings for follow-up attacks or Heat Actions.
- Environmental Heat Actions: Always be aware of your surroundings. Objects like bicycles, signs, or even railings can trigger unique and powerful Heat Actions when enemies are near them and your Heat Gauge is full.
- Weapon Durability Management: Don't waste high-durability weapons on weak enemies. Save them for bosses or tough encounters. You can also repair weapons at Kamiyama Works.
- Heat Gauge Management: Don't just spam Heat Actions. Save them for critical moments, like interrupting a boss's powerful attack or clearing a large group of enemies. Some Heat Actions are more efficient than others.
- Counter-Attacks & Parries: Invest in and master counter-abilities. A well-timed counter can turn the tide of a fight, dealing significant damage and often leaving the enemy vulnerable.
- Grab & Throw: Grabbing enemies (Triangle/Y) is excellent for crowd control, especially against multiple opponents. Throwing them into each other or off ledges can deal damage and create space.
Practice these techniques in street fights to integrate them into your muscle memory.
