User Interface (UI) Explained
  • Health Bar (Top Left): Your current health. Depletes when you take damage. Use healing items to restore it.
  • Heat Gauge (Below Health Bar): Fills during combat. When full, allows for powerful Heat Actions.
  • Mini-Map (Top Right): Shows your current location, nearby points of interest (shops, restaurants, mission markers), and enemy locations. Pay attention to red dots indicating hostile encounters.
  • Objective Marker (On Mini-Map & World): Indicates your next main story objective. Follow it to progress.
  • Item Slot (Bottom Left): Displays your currently equipped healing item or weapon. Use the D-Pad to cycle through items.
  • Money (Bottom Right): Your current Yen balance. Used for purchases, food, and various activities.

During combat, enemy health bars will appear above their heads. Pay attention to these to prioritize targets. The mini-map is especially useful for navigating Kamurocho's bustling streets and avoiding or engaging in street fights as you see fit.
