Masaru Watase is one of the final major antagonists, a powerful Omi Alliance patriarch. He is a highly skilled fighter who uses a balanced, aggressive style, combining powerful punches and kicks with quick dodges. This fight is typically against Kiryu, but other characters might be involved depending on the specific route.

Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1 (100%-60% HP): Watase uses fast, multi-hit combos and a powerful charging attack. He's quick and can parry some of your attacks. Focus on dodging his combos and counter-attacking with Kiryu's quick strikes.
- Phase 2 (60%-30% HP): Watase becomes more aggressive, incorporating a unique Heat Action where he grapples Kiryu and delivers a series of brutal knee strikes. He also gains a temporary buff, increasing his attack speed and damage.
- Phase 3 (30%-0% HP): Watase unleashes his full power, often glowing red. He will use his most devastating combos and Heat Actions. This phase requires precise dodging and well-timed Heat Actions to finish him off.
Weaknesses & Strategy: Watase has no obvious elemental weaknesses. His main weakness is his predictability after certain combos. Kiryu's 'Tiger Drop' is incredibly effective against Watase's heavy attacks and charges. If you haven't mastered it, focus on dodging and using quick combos. Utilize Heat Actions like 'Essence of Extreme Dragon' or 'Essence of Mashing' when he's stunned. Keep your Heat Gauge full by landing attacks. Ensure you have a full stock of Staminan Royale and Toughness Infinity, as this is a long and challenging fight. Don't be afraid to use your 'Climax Heat' to deal massive damage during his vulnerable moments in Phase 2 or 3.
