Weapons and armor significantly impact your combat effectiveness. Weapons can be purchased from weapon shops, found in the environment, or crafted. Each character has different proficiencies with various weapon types. Armor and accessories provide defensive bonuses and sometimes special effects.

Weapons:
- Blades: Knives, swords, katanas. Fast attacks, good for quick damage.
- Blunt Weapons: Bats, pipes, golf clubs. Slower, but high damage and can stun enemies.
- Firearms: Pistols, shotguns. Ranged attacks, useful for specific situations but ammo is limited.
- Special Weapons: Nunchaku, tonfa, unique character-specific weapons. Offer unique attack patterns.
- Improvised Weapons: Chairs, signs, bicycles. Shinada excels at using these.
Weapons have durability and will break after a certain number of uses. You can repair them at weapon shops or with repair kits. Some weapons can also be upgraded.
Armor & Accessories:
- Body Armor: Vests, jackets. Increase defense.
- Headgear: Helmets, hats. Increase defense.
- Accessories: Rings, amulets, belts. Provide various bonuses like increased attack, defense, Heat Gauge accumulation, or resistance to status effects.
Always equip the best available armor and accessories for each character. Some accessories are incredibly powerful and can turn the tide of battle, such as those that prevent flinching or increase critical hit rates. Experiment with different combinations to find what suits your playstyle.
