While Kiryu primarily fights with his fists, you can equip various weapons and protective gear. Weapons are consumable and break after a certain number of uses, but they can deal significant damage. Gear provides passive stat bonuses.
Weapons:
- Blades: Knives, Swords. Fast attacks, good for single targets.
- Blunt Weapons: Bats, Pipes, Umbrellas. Slower, but can hit multiple enemies and stun.
- Firearms: Pistols, Shotguns. Ranged attacks, useful for creating distance.
Weapons can be found in the environment, dropped by enemies, or purchased from weapon shops (e.g., Don Quijote, or the secret weapon dealer). Consider carrying a powerful weapon for boss fights. Remember that Kiryu can also pick up environmental objects during combat and use them as temporary weapons.
Gear:
- Shirts / Jackets: Increase defense.
- Pants / Belts: Increase defense or provide other minor buffs.
- Accessories: Rings, Necklaces. Can provide various buffs like increased attack, defense, or Heat gain.
Gear can be purchased from various clothing stores or won from mini-games. Always equip the best gear you have to maximize Kiryu's defensive capabilities.
