Enemy Types & Weaknesses

The streets of Kamurocho are no longer just patrolled by the Yakuza; they're overrun by the undead. Understanding the different types of zombies you'll encounter is crucial for efficient combat and ammo conservation. Each type presents a unique threat and has specific vulnerabilities.

  • Standard Zombies: These are your most common foes. They shamble towards you and can be taken down with a few well-placed shots. Aim for the head for maximum damage and to conserve precious ammunition.
  • Sprinters: These zombies move with surprising speed, closing the distance quickly. They are often found in groups and can overwhelm you if you're not careful. Quick bursts of fire from your submachine gun or a well-timed shotgun blast can be effective. Prioritize taking them out before they reach your position.
  • Fat Zombies: These lumbering behemoths are slow but incredibly resilient. Their large frames can absorb a lot of damage. Sustained headshots are the most effective way to bring them down. Be aware that they can still grab you, so maintain a safe distance.
  • Screamers: These are perhaps the most dangerous type due to their ability to attract hordes of other zombies. Their piercing screams can quickly turn a manageable situation into an overwhelming one. It is paramount to identify and eliminate Screamers immediately upon spotting them. A quick headshot is usually sufficient.
  • Mutated Zombies: As the outbreak progresses, you'll encounter more grotesque and powerful mutated forms. These often have unique attack patterns and require more strategic engagement. Pay close attention to their tells and exploit any openings.

Remember, ammunition is scarce in the quarantined zone. Always aim for the head. Utilizing environmental hazards, such as explosive barrels or collapsing structures, can also be an effective way to deal with large groups of enemies without expending your own resources.
