Completion List
Welcome to the ultimate guide for achieving 100% completion in Yakuza Kiwami 2! The Completion List is your in-game tracker for all things Kiryu and Majima, spanning everything from combat feats to minigame mastery and even culinary adventures. While some items will naturally tick off as you play through the main story and substories, many require dedicated effort and strategic planning. Aiming for 100% will unlock the coveted Legendary Dragon trophy and provide a profound sense of accomplishment.
This section breaks down each category of the Completion List, offering actionable strategies, specific locations, and crucial tips to make your journey to full completion as smooth as possible. Remember, many activities are best tackled in Premium Adventure mode after finishing the main story, as it allows for free exploration and access to all areas and minigames without story progression constraints.
Battle
The Battle section tracks your combat prowess, from defeating a certain number of enemies to performing specific Heat Actions. This is one of the more straightforward categories, but some entries require a bit of grinding.
- Defeat X Enemies: This will naturally accumulate as you play. Focus on street fights and the Coliseum. The Sotenbori Battle Arena is an excellent spot for endless encounters.
- Perform X Heat Actions: Experiment with all available Heat Actions. Equip different weapons (e.g., Katana, Stun Gun, Traffic Cone) and environmental objects (e.g., Bicycles, Bar Stools) to trigger unique ones. The Heat Action Encyclopedia in the pause menu can help you track which ones you've performed.
- Perform X Weapon Heat Actions: Similar to general Heat Actions, but specifically for weapons. Always carry several weapons from the Weapon Shop Kamiyama or pick them up from the environment.
- Perform X Grab Heat Actions: Focus on grabbing enemies (Circle button) and then initiating Heat Actions. The Essence of Grab and similar skills are key.
- Perform X Environmental Heat Actions: Look for objects in the environment that glow blue when an enemy is near. These include walls, railings, signs, and even other enemies.
- Defeat X Bosses: This is tied to story progression and substories. You'll get this naturally.
- Win X Coliseum Matches: Head to the Coliseum in Purgatory (accessible via the sewers in Kamurocho). You'll need to win various tournaments. Start with the lower-tier ones and work your way up. Grinding the Breakout GP is efficient for wins.
- Complete X Clan Creator Missions: Engage with the Clan Creator minigame at the Majima Construction Site. Complete all story missions and side missions. Don't forget the special "Majima's Army" missions.
Adventure
This category covers exploration, substories, and general interactions within the game world. It's a broad category that encourages you to see and do everything.
- Complete X Substories: There are 70 substories in the main game (Kiryu's story) and 5 in the Majima Saga. Many are time-sensitive or require specific conditions to trigger. Consult a dedicated substory guide for optimal progression. A good strategy is to complete all available substories in a chapter before advancing the main story.
- Discover X Restaurants: Simply enter every restaurant and food stall in Kamurocho and Sotenbori. You don't need to eat at them, just step inside.
- Eat at X Restaurants: Eat at least one item from every restaurant. This ties into the "Eat X of Every Food Item" entry as well.
- Find X Locker Keys: There are 100 locker keys scattered across Kamurocho and Sotenbori. They often sparkle on the ground. Use the Locker Key Finder accessory (obtained from a substory or gambling) to make them easier to spot.
- Open X Lockers: Each key opens a corresponding locker. The lockers are located in the following places:
- Kamurocho: Millennium Tower (1F and B1F), Theater Square Alley, Nakamichi Street.
- Sotenbori: Shofukucho, Sotenbori Street.
- Discover X Secret Locations: These are usually small, out-of-the-way spots that often contain items or trigger small events. Look for glowing spots or unique environmental details. Examples include hidden alleys, rooftops, and specific corners.
- Walk X Kilometers: This is a passive completion item. Just play the game, and you'll accumulate distance.
- Spend X Yen: Another passive item. Buying items, eating, and playing minigames will contribute to this.
- Earn X Yen: Similarly, earning money from fights, minigames, and substories will fill this.
- Heal X HP: Use healing items like Staminan X, Toughness Z, or eat at restaurants.
- Drink X Alcohol: Visit bars like Bacchus in Kamurocho or Stijl in Sotenbori and order drinks.
Minigames
This section demands mastery of Yakuza Kiwami 2's extensive array of minigames. Some are simple, others require significant practice and skill.
- Darts: Win X games of Darts. Play at Bacchus (Kamurocho) or Stijl (Sotenbori). Aim for Hat Trick (three triple 20s) or Three in a Bed (three double bulls) for quick wins.
- Mahjong: Win X games of Mahjong. Play at the Mahjong Parlor in both cities. This is notoriously difficult for newcomers. Learn the basic rules and common winning hands (e.g., Riichi, Tanyao). There are specific guides online for Yakuza Mahjong.
- Shogi: Win X games of Shogi. Play at the Shogi Parlor. If you're not a Shogi player, use the "Challenge" option and simply move a piece, then immediately "Resign" to get a loss. For wins, you can use a Shogi app on your phone to play against the AI, mirroring its moves in-game.
- Koi-Koi: Win X games of Koi-Koi. Play at the Gambling Hall. Focus on making simple hands like Brights or Animal Cards.
- Oicho-Kabu: Win X games of Oicho-Kabu. Play at the Gambling Hall. This is a simpler card game; bet big when you have a good hand.
- Casino Games (Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, Baccarat): Win X games/earn X chips. Play at the Casino in Purgatory. For Blackjack, always hit on 11 or less. For Roulette, bet on a single number for a high payout, then save scum if you lose.
- UFO Catcher: Win X prizes. Found in the Club Sega arcades. Aim for the center of the prize. Some prizes are easier than others.
- Virtua Fighter 2: Win X matches. Play at Club Sega. Practice with a character you like.
- Virtual On: Win X matches. Play at Club Sega. This can be challenging; learn the controls and character abilities.

- Batting Center: Hit X home runs. Play at the Batting Center. Practice timing and aim. The "Home Run Course" is best for this.

- Cabaret Club Grand Prix: Complete all storylines and win the Grand Prix. This is a substantial minigame. Follow the guide for optimal hostess training and customer satisfaction.

- Gravure Photo Studio: Complete all sessions. This involves a rhythm-based minigame.
- Massage Parlor: Complete all sessions. Another rhythm-based minigame.
- Shakedown: Defeat X Shakedown bosses. These are powerful enemies that appear randomly on the street. They carry large sums of money. Equip strong gear and use Heat Actions.
- Pocket Circuit: Win X races and complete all challenges. Found in the Pocket Circuit Stadium. Experiment with different parts and setups.
Other
This category often includes miscellaneous tasks that don't fit neatly into other sections.
- Complete X Training Sessions: This includes training with Komaki (Kamurocho) and Saki the Bartender (Sotenbori). Komaki teaches powerful combat techniques, while Saki helps with drinking tolerance and Heat regeneration.
- Complete X Part-Time Hero Missions: Engage with the Part-Time Hero app. These are small tasks like finding lost items, defeating specific enemies, or delivering goods.
- Collect X Dragon Statues: These are small, glowing statues hidden around the cities. They often require specific angles or camera manipulation to spot.
- Achieve X Rank in X Minigame: Some minigames have specific rank requirements (e.g., S-Rank in certain challenges).
- Eat X of Every Food Item: This is a major grind. You need to eat every single item from every restaurant at least once. Keep a checklist!
- Purchase X of Every Weapon/Armor: Buy at least one of every weapon and piece of armor from Weapon Shop Kamiyama and other vendors.
- Craft X Weapons/Armor: use the crafting system at Weapon Shop Kamiyama. You'll need to gather materials from locker keys, substories, and enemy drops.
Remember to regularly check your Completion List in the pause menu to track your progress. Good luck, Dragon of Dojima!
