How to Beat Chapter 7 Bosses
Chapter 7 throws a couple of challenging encounters your way, testing your party's strength and your strategic prowess. The first major hurdle is the trio of Yamai, Koshimizu, and Arakawa. This fight requires careful management of your party's health and a keen understanding of enemy attack patterns. The second boss, the formidable Oolong, presents a different kind of challenge, focusing on raw power and area-of-effect attacks. Mastering these encounters is crucial for progressing through the story and unlocking new areas.
Yamai, Koshimizu, and Arakawa Strategy
This initial boss trio in Chapter 7 can be overwhelming if you're not prepared. The key here is to focus damage on one enemy at a time, ideally Yamai first, as he's the most aggressive. Koshimizu provides support and can heal, so try to interrupt his actions if possible. Arakawa is a tank, so he'll take a lot of hits, but he's less of an immediate threat. Ensure your party members have decent defensive gear and use healing items liberally. Ichiban's Hero style is excellent for tanking and drawing aggro, while Nanba's Warlock can provide crucial AoE damage and debuffs. Adachi's Enforcer is great for single-target damage and crowd control.
Oolong Strategy
Oolong is a pure damage dealer, and his attacks can hit your entire party. Prioritize keeping your health high. Nanba's Heal skill is invaluable here. If you have Kasuga as a Chef, his Sauté ability can inflict burn, which is effective against Oolong. Adachi's Bodyguard can taunt Oolong, drawing his attention away from your squishier party members. Look for openings after Oolong finishes a powerful attack to unleash your own damage. Using items like Toughness Powder can also mitigate some of the incoming damage.
