Beyond simply equipping new gear, Yakuza: Like a Dragon allows you to enhance and upgrade your existing equipment at the Romance Workshop. This system provides a way to improve the stats of your favorite weapons and armor, making them even more powerful and viable throughout the game. It's a crucial aspect of gearing up for the toughest challenges.
To enhance equipment, you'll need to visit the Romance Workshop and speak with Ichiban. The workshop allows you to upgrade weapons and protective gear by using various materials. These materials can be obtained through enemy drops, found in briefcases, or by disassembling other equipment. The higher the tier of the equipment you're trying to upgrade, the rarer and more abundant the materials required will be.
Each upgrade level typically provides a boost to the item's primary stats, such as attack power for weapons or defense for armor. Some rare or unique pieces of equipment might also gain additional effects or unlock special properties as they are upgraded.
