Inventory Management & Storage
Efficiently managing your inventory is crucial for success in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. With a vast array of items, from healing consumables to crafting materials and equipment, knowing how to organize and store your belongings will save you time and prevent frustrating inventory full messages.
Your primary inventory space is limited, so it's essential to prioritize what you carry. Consumables like healing items and buffs are generally safe to keep in abundance, especially if you're heading into a challenging dungeon or boss fight. However, crafting materials can quickly fill up your slots. For these, it's wise to periodically visit a workshop to craft needed items or store excess materials.
The game offers several storage solutions. The most convenient is your Party Inventory, which is accessible from any menu. However, this has a finite limit. For long-term storage, you'll want to utilize the Item Box found at various locations, most notably at workshops like the Romance Workshop. These boxes act as a shared, unlimited storage for all your crafting materials and excess items. Regularly depositing materials here will free up your personal inventory for more immediate needs.
When deciding what to keep and what to discard or sell, consider the following:
- Consumables: Keep a healthy stock of healing items (e.g., First Aid Kits, Toughness Incense) and any status-healing items relevant to current enemies.
- Crafting Materials: Store all but the most common materials in your Item Box. You can always retrieve them when needed for crafting.
- Equipment: Equip your best gear and store any duplicates or lower-tier items. These can be sold later or broken down for materials if they offer no other use.
- Key Items: These are usually quest-related and don't take up inventory space, but be mindful of them.
Regularly visiting workshops to craft and deposit items into the Item Box is a core part of maintaining a streamlined inventory. This practice ensures you always have space for new loot and essential items during your adventures in Ijincho.
