Status Ailments & Their Cures
In the heat of battle in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, your party can be afflicted with various status ailments that hinder their effectiveness or cause continuous damage. Understanding these ailments, their effects, and how to cure them is crucial for maintaining your party's strength and ensuring victory. This guide details the common ailments and their remedies.
Status ailments can sificantly impact combat. Some common ailments include:
- Poison: Causes damage over time at the end of each turn.
- Burn: Inflicts damage over time and can sometimes lower defense.
- Shock: Has a chance to paralyze the character, preventing them from acting.
- Freeze: Paralyzes the character and makes them vulnerable to critical hits.
- Drenched: Makes the character weak to Electric attacks and can sometimes lower evasion.
- Sleep: Prevents the character from acting until they are hit or a certain amount of time passes.
- Stun: Temporarily incapacitates the character, preventing them from acting.
These ailments can be inflicted by enemy attacks, environmental hazards, or certain skills. It's important to identify which ailment has affected your party members by observing the icons above their portraits.
Curing Status Ailments:
- Items: Various consumable items can cure specific ailments. For example, Antidotes cure Poison, Cooling Salves cure Burn, and Emergency Rations can cure multiple ailments.
- Skills: Certain character skills or job abilities can remove status effects from allies.
- Rest: Resting at an inn or using specific facilities can sometimes cure ailments.
- Time: Some ailments, like Sleep or Stun, will wear off naturally after a few turns.
