Big Montgomery is the first boss you'll face, serving as an introduction to boss mechanics. He's a giant Monty Mole made of yarn.

Phase 1: Ground Pound Attack
- Attack: Big Montgomery will emerge from one of the holes in the ground and then perform a ground pound, sending shockwaves across the arena.
- Strategy: When he emerges, quickly swallow one of the smaller Monty Moles that appear to get a yarn ball. As Big Montgomery prepares to ground pound, jump to avoid the shockwave. After his ground pound, he'll be stunned for a moment. This is your chance! Throw a yarn ball at his head.
- Repeat: He'll retreat into a hole and reappear. Repeat the process.
Phase 2: Rolling Attack
- Attack: After taking a few hits, Big Montgomery will start rolling across the arena.
- Strategy: When he rolls, jump over him or use your flutter jump to stay airborne until he stops. He'll still perform ground pounds, so continue to hit him with yarn balls after he's stunned.
General Tips:
- Yarn Balls: Always keep at least one yarn ball ready. If you run out, quickly swallow a smaller Monty Mole.
- Movement: Stay mobile to avoid his ground pounds and rolling attacks.
- Wonder Wools: The Wonder Wools for this level are typically awarded upon defeating him, or by hitting specific targets during the fight (e.g., hitting him a certain number of times).
Defeat Big Montgomery by hitting him a total of 3 times. He's a straightforward boss, designed to teach you the basics of boss battles.
