• Immunity to Falls: (Cost: 500 Beads) This badge prevents Yoshi from losing a life when falling into pits. For a first playthrough, especially if you're exploring off the beaten path, it can save you some frustration.
• Find Hidden Items: (Cost: 2000 Beads) This badge makes all hidden items (like invisible clouds) glow, making 100% completion much easier. It's a bit pricey for the first level, but worth considering for later.

Walkthrough and Collectible Locations

Begin your journey by moving to the right. You'll immediately encounter your first Shy Guy. Swallow it to create a yarn ball. Practice throwing it at the Question Mark Cloud above to release a shower of Beads. Continue right, using your flutter jump to navigate the small gaps.

First Section: The Grassy Plains

1. Beads & Yarn Basket: As you start, collect the beads scattered along the path. You'll quickly come across a Yarn Basket. Hit it with a yarn ball or ground pound it to release more yarn balls and beads. Always keep a stock of at least 3-4 yarn balls.
2. Smiley Flower #1: After the first few small platforms, you'll see a larger platform with a single Piranha Plant. The first Smiley Flower is floating directly above this Piranha Plant. Jump up and flutter to grab it. Be careful not to touch the Piranha Plant.
3. Wonder Wool #1: Immediately after collecting the first Smiley Flower and defeating/avoiding the Piranha Plant, look for a small, seemingly empty space between the main path and a higher ledge to your left. Throw a yarn ball at this spot to reveal an Invisible Cloud containing the first Wonder Wool. This is a crucial early lesson in looking for hidden elements.
4. Hidden Area (Beads): Just before the first checkpoint flag, you'll notice a small gap in the ground. Drop down carefully into this hidden alcove to find a generous cluster of Beads. Flutter jump back out.
5. Checkpoint Flag: Hit the first checkpoint flag to save your progress.

Second Section: Piranha Plant Patrol

After passing the first checkpoint, you'll enter an area with more Piranha Plants and some moving platforms.

6. Smiley Flower #2: As you cross the first set of moving platforms, you'll notice a Piranha Plant on a higher ledge to your right. The second Smiley Flower is floating just above this Piranha Plant. Time your jump from the moving platform to reach it. You might need a slight flutter jump to ensure you clear the Piranha Plant.
7. Wonder Wool #2: Shortly after the second Smiley Flower, you'll come across a series of platforms connected by a long, vertical string. Use Yoshi's tongue to pull on the string (stand near the bottom of the string and press the tongue button). This action will lower the platform, revealing the second Wonder Wool underneath.
8. Hidden Cloud (Beads): After collecting Wonder Wool #2, look directly above where the string was. There's a small gap in the ceiling. Throw a yarn ball upwards to reveal a hidden cloud bursting with Beads.
9. Yarn Basket & Shy Guys: Continue right. You'll encounter more Shy Guys and another Yarn Basket. Replenish your yarn ball supply and collect any visible beads.

Third Section: The String Bridge

This part of the level introduces you to interactive strings that can be pulled to alter the environment.

10. Smiley Flower #3: You'll encounter a long, horizontal string acting as a bridge. As you cross it, look below the bridge. The third Smiley Flower is tucked away underneath. You can either drop down carefully and flutter back up, or if you have good aim, you can throw a yarn ball downwards to collect it from the bridge.
11. Wonder Wool #3: Immediately after the string bridge, you'll see a tall stack of brown blocks. Ground pound these blocks (jump and press down) to reveal a hidden passage leading to a small alcove containing the third Wonder Wool.
12. Checkpoint Flag: Hit the second checkpoint flag after the string bridge area.

Fourth Section: The Bouncy Bogs

This section features bouncy platforms and introduces a new environmental puzzle.

13. Smiley Flower #4: After the third Wonder Wool and the checkpoint, you'll come to an area with several bouncy platforms (they look like green, squishy pads). Use these to reach a high ledge on the left. The fourth Smiley Flower is located on this elevated path. Don't rush; time your bounces.
14. Wonder Wool #4: From the platform where you found Smiley Flower #4, look to your right. You'll see a wall that looks slightly different, almost like a tapestry with loose threads. Throw a yarn ball at this wall to unravel it, revealing a hidden alcove containing the fourth Wonder Wool. This is a common type of secret in Woolly World, so remember it!
15. Hidden Cloud (Beads): After unraveling the wall, continue right. Before the next set of bouncy platforms, look up and slightly to the right. There's another invisible cloud containing Beads.

Fifth Section: The Final Stretch to the Goal

The last part of the level before the goal post often holds the most challenging secrets.

16. Smiley Flower #5: As you approach the final pipe leading to the goal, look above it. There's a small, almost invisible platform (it blends in with the background). Flutter jump onto it, and then jump again to reach the fifth Smiley Flower floating higher up. This requires precise timing and a good flutter.
17. Wonder Wool #5: Before entering the final pipe, backtrack slightly from the pipe's entrance. Look for a suspicious-looking cloud floating near the bottom of the screen, just before the pipe's platform. It's often partially obscured by the foreground. Throw a yarn ball at it to reveal the final Wonder Wool. This is one of the trickier ones to spot!
18. Beads & Stamp Patches: The final stretch is usually rich with beads. collect as many as possible, especially if you're aiming for the 1000-bead target for the 20 Stamp Patches. There are often hidden beads in invisible clouds or behind destructible blocks. Keep an eye out for any remaining Yarn Baskets.
19. Goal Ring: Once you've collected all the items and reached the goal post, give it a good ground pound to finish the level in style! This will spin the goal ring, rewarding you with additional beads based on your remaining time and yarn balls.
