World 1-1: Yarn Yoshi Takes Shape!

Welcome to the very first level of Yoshi's Woolly World! This stage serves as a fantastic introduction to the game's core mechanics and collectible types. Our goal here is to guide you through every secret, ensuring you collect all five Wonder Wools, twenty Stamp Patches, and all five Flowers.

Initial Area & First Collectibles

  • As soon as the level begins, move right. You'll immediately encounter a small Piranha Plant. Gobble it up with your tongue (Y button) and turn it into a yarn ball (down on the D-Pad or left stick, then Y).
  • Flower 1: Just past the first Piranha Plant, you'll see a small cloud hovering above. Toss a yarn ball at it to reveal the first Flower.
  • Continue right, past a few more Piranha Plants. You'll come across a larger Piranha Plant that spits projectiles. Defeat it or avoid it.
  • Wonder Wool 1: After the larger Piranha Plant, look for a small, elevated platform. Jump onto it and then jump again to reveal a hidden cloud. Hit this cloud with a yarn ball to unveil the first Wonder Wool.
  • Stamp Patches (1-3): You'll find several beads scattered along the path. Collect these as you go. The first three Stamp Patches are easily visible along the main route, often found by simply walking over them or jumping to reach them.

Mid-Level Challenges & Secrets

  • You'll soon reach an area with a large, rotating gear platform. Carefully jump across it.
  • Flower 2: Immediately after the rotating gear, look above the next platform. There's another hidden cloud. Launch a yarn ball to reveal the second Flower.
  • Wonder Wool 2: Continue right. You'll see a section of the ground that looks slightly different, almost like a loose thread. Ground Pound (jump, then down on the D-Pad/left stick) on this spot to reveal a hidden alcove below. Drop down to find the second Wonder Wool.
  • Stamp Patches (4-7): Keep an eye out for beads. Some are in plain sight, others require a small jump or a quick detour. One is usually found within the hidden alcove where Wonder Wool 2 was located.

The Underground Passage

  • After the second Wonder Wool, you'll encounter a large, red pipe. Enter it to go underground.
  • Flower 3: In the underground section, you'll see a series of moving platforms. Above the second moving platform, there's a visible cloud. Hit it for the third Flower.
  • Wonder Wool 3: As you progress through the underground area, you'll spot a wall of breakable blocks. Use a yarn ball to destroy them and reveal a hidden passage containing the third Wonder Wool.
  • Stamp Patches (8-12): The underground section is rich with beads. explore all corners and hit any suspicious-looking clouds.
  • Exit the underground section via the pipe at the end.

Final Stretch & Remaining Collectibles

  • Back above ground, you'll encounter some Shy Guys.
  • Flower 4: Shortly after exiting the pipe, you'll see a series of platforms leading upwards. Instead of going straight right, jump up these platforms. At the very top, you'll find a cloud containing the fourth Flower.
  • Wonder Wool 4: After collecting Flower 4, drop back down and continue right. You'll come across a large, bouncy mushroom. Use it to reach a high platform where the fourth Wonder Wool is waiting.
  • Stamp Patches (13-17): The path to the end of the level is lined with beads. Don't rush!
  • Flower 5: Near the end of the level, just before the goal post, you'll see a large, suspended platform. Jump onto it, and then jump again to reveal a hidden cloud. Hit it to get the final Flower.
  • Wonder Wool 5: The final Wonder Wool is often found by hitting a visible cloud directly above the goal post banner. Make sure you have a yarn ball ready!
  • Stamp Patches (18-20): The last few Stamp Patches are typically found around the goal post area, sometimes requiring a quick jump or a precise yarn toss.

Once you've collected everything, jump onto the goal post to complete the level! Congratulations on a perfect run through World 1-1!
