Walkthrough: Unraveling the Castle's Mysteries

Entrance and First Secrets

The level begins in a grand, imposing entrance hall. Move forward, keeping an eye out for any suspicious-looking walls or platforms.

• Smiley Flower #1: Immediately after starting, you'll see a large, red switch. Hit it to open a gate on the left, revealing the first Smiley Flower.
• Stamp Patches (1-3): As you progress, you'll encounter a series of small platforms. Look for three hidden clouds floating above these platforms. Hitting each one will reveal a Stamp Patch.

The Grand Hall and Guarded Switch

You'll soon enter a more expansive grand hall. Here, you'll face a challenge that requires both combat and puzzle-solving.

• Enemy Encounter: A large, formidable Big Blargg guards a crucial switch. This enemy is immune to direct attacks. To defeat it, you'll need to lure it into charging and then quickly move out of the way, causing it to hit the wall and briefly stun itself. While stunned, quickly throw a yarn ball at its exposed back. Repeat this process two more times to defeat it.
• Smiley Flower #2: After defeating the Big Blargg, hit the switch it was guarding. This will activate a moving platform. Ride the platform up to reach a hidden alcove containing the second Smiley Flower.
• Wonder Wool #1: In the same grand hall, look for a section of the back wall that appears slightly different or discolored. This is a false wall. Ground pound or throw a yarn ball at it to reveal a hidden passage leading to the first Wonder Wool.
• Stamp Patches (4-6): Keep an eye on the ceiling of the grand hall. There are three hidden clouds suspended high above. Use your flutter jump and carefully aim yarn balls to hit them and collect the Stamp Patches.

The Castle Maze: Navigating the Doors

This section can be tricky, as it involves multiple doors leading to different paths. Choosing the correct door is essential for progression and collecting all items.

1. Initial Room: You'll enter a room with two doors on the ground level and two on an upper level.
2. Door Choice for Wonder Wool #2: From the initial room, take the first door from the left on the upper level (the one closest to the entrance of this section). This path leads to a small chamber with the second Wonder Wool. Collect it and then return to the main maze room.
3. Door Choice for Smiley Flower #3: Back in the main maze room, take the second door from the left on the upper level (the one further to the right on the upper platform). This is the correct path forward and will lead you to a new area.
4. Smiley Flower #3: After exiting the correct door, you'll find yourself on a high ledge. The third Smiley Flower is clearly visible here.
5. Stamp Patches (7-10): In the maze section, after taking the correct upper-level door, look for a series of small, breakable blocks on the path. Destroy them to reveal hidden clouds containing these Stamp Patches.

Yarn Ball Puzzles and Hidden Paths

The next area emphasizes precise yarn ball usage and careful exploration.

• Wonder Wool #3: You'll come across a series of platforms with gaps. Look for a distant red switch across a large chasm. Throw a yarn ball to hit this switch, which will extend a bridge. Cross the bridge, and the third Wonder Wool will be waiting on the other side.
• Smiley Flower #4: Shortly after the bridge, you'll see a seemingly inaccessible platform high above. Look for a hidden cloud directly below this platform. Hit the cloud to reveal an invisible staircase. Climb the stairs to reach the fourth Smiley Flower.
• Stamp Patches (11-15): In the area with the yarn ball puzzles, keep an eye on the background. Some sections of the wall have faint outlines. Throw yarn balls at these outlines to reveal hidden alcoves with Stamp Patches.

The Final Stretch and Boss Prep

As you near the end of the level, the challenges become more intense.

• Wonder Wool #4: You'll enter a room with several rotating platforms. Navigate these platforms carefully. On one of the higher, central platforms, you'll find the fourth Wonder Wool. Timing your jumps is crucial here.
• Smiley Flower #5: Just before the goal roulette, you'll encounter a series of moving blocks. Above the highest moving block, there's a hidden cloud. Jump and flutter to hit it, revealing the final Smiley Flower.
• Wonder Wool #5: Near the very end of the level, look for a small, seemingly empty alcove above the main path. Throw a yarn ball at the back wall of this alcove to reveal a hidden passage leading to the last Wonder Wool.
• Stamp Patches (16-20): In the final section before the goal, there are several enemies (e.g., Shy Guys, Piranha Plants). Defeat them all to make a series of hidden clouds appear, each containing a Stamp Patch.
