Each of the 48 main levels in Yoshi's Woolly World contains 5 hidden Wonder Wools. Collecting all 5 in a single level will re-knit a new Yoshi, adding it to your collection. There are a total of 20 unique Yoshis to unlock this way, plus additional ones from amiibo. To find them all, you'll need to be incredibly thorough:
- Explore Every Corner: Many Wonder Wools are hidden in secret areas, behind false walls, or in pipes that are easy to miss.
- Hit All Clouds: Invisible clouds often contain Wonder Wools or reveal paths to them. Throw yarn balls at any suspicious empty space.
- Unravel Everything: Use Yoshi's tongue to unravel any loose threads or patterned walls. These often hide secrets.
- Ground Pound: Certain blocks or platforms can be broken by a ground pound, revealing hidden passages.
- Revisit Levels: Don't be afraid to replay levels, especially if you're missing a Wonder Wool. The game will show you which levels you haven't fully completed.
Collecting all Wonder Wools is essential for unlocking all the unique Yoshi patterns and achieving 100% completion. Some are very cleverly hidden, so patience and keen observation are your best tools.
