In the bottom right corner during a duel, you'll find a 'Toggle' button. This controls when the game prompts you to activate effects. 'Auto' is default, 'On' prompts you for every possible action (slows down play but prevents missed timings), and 'Off' only prompts for mandatory effects. Use 'On' when you need precise timing, especially against fast combo decks.
