Deck Editing Interface
The Deck Editing Interface is your primary hub for constructing, refining, and managing your Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel decks. Mastering this interface is crucial for any duelist looking to climb the ranks or simply enjoy the game to its fullest. This detailed guide will walk you through every aspect of deck building, from initial creation to advanced search functions.
Accessing the Deck Editor
To begin editing your decks, navigate to the main menu and select the "Deck" option. From there, you will be presented with a list of your currently saved decks, as well as an option to create a new one.
- Creating a New Deck: Select the "New Deck" button. You will be prompted to choose a starting point: a blank canvas, or a pre-built Structure Deck that you own. For new players, starting with a Structure Deck can be a great way to learn the ropes before diving into custom builds.
- Editing an Existing Deck: Simply click on the name or image of the deck you wish to modify from your deck list.
Deck Editor Layout Overview
Once inside the Deck Editor, you'll see a multi-pane interface designed for efficient card management:

- Right Pane: Card Collection & Search

- A powerful search bar and various filter options are located at the top of this pane to help you locate specific cards.
- Cards are displayed as thumbnails, and clicking on one will show its detailed information in the bottom-middle pane.
- Bottom-Middle Pane: Card Details
- When you select a card from either your deck or your collection, its full artwork, card text, attributes, type, ATK/DEF, and other relevant information will appear here.

Deck Management Options
Beyond adding and removing cards, the Deck Editor offers several other useful functions:
- Save Deck: Always remember to save your changes! Look for the "Save" button, usually located at the bottom or top of the interface. You may be prompted to name your deck if it's new.
- Copy Deck: This allows you to duplicate an existing deck, perfect for experimenting with variations without altering your original build.
- Delete Deck: Removes a deck from your saved list. Be careful, as this action is often irreversible.
- Set as Favorite: Mark a deck as a favorite for quicker access in your deck list.
- Share Deck: Master Duel often includes options to generate a Deck ID or QR code to share your decklist with others, or to import decks.
- Check Legality: The interface usually provides real-time feedback on your deck's legality, highlighting if you have too many copies of a Limited card, or if your deck size is incorrect. Pay attention to these warnings before attempting to duel.
Crafting Cards
If you find a card you need but don't own, the Deck Editor is also where you can craft it. When you select an unowned card in the Right Pane, a "Craft" button will appear in the Bottom-Middle Pane, indicating the required Craft Points (CP) of the corresponding rarity (N, R, SR, UR).
- Crafting Strategy: Prioritize crafting staple cards that fit into multiple decks, or key cards for your chosen archetype. Be mindful of your CP resources, as they can be scarce.
By thoroughly understanding and utilizing these features, you'll be well-equipped to build competitive and creative decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.
