The town of Kasuto is one of the most well-hidden locations in Zelda II, and finding it is a significant side quest in itself. There are two versions of Kasuto: the 'Old Kasuto' and the 'New Kasuto'. Old Kasuto is a ruined town that provides a clue to the location of New Kasuto. New Kasuto is a thriving town that holds a crucial item: the Magic Key. The Magic Key is an incredibly useful item that allows Link to open any locked door in the game without needing a specific small key. This saves a lot of time and frustration in later dungeons. Finding Kasuto requires careful exploration of the overworld, often involving using the Hammer to clear paths and potentially the Raft to cross water. The path to Kasuto is usually obscured and requires keen observation to discover. This side quest is highly recommended for its invaluable reward.
