The encounter with the Beast of Provence is a multi-stage boss fight that tests Amicia's stealth, resourcefulness, and ability to exploit environmental weaknesses. This formidable foe is a hulking, armored knight driven to madness by the plague, wielding a massive mace. Direct confrontation is almost always fatal.
Phase 1: Initial Engagement & Stealth
- The fight begins in a confined arena. Your primary objective is to evade the Beast's relentless attacks and create opportunities to damage it indirectly.
- Use the environment to your advantage. Duck behind pillars, crates, and other obstacles to break line of sight. The Beast is slow to turn, so quick dodges and strategic movement are key.
- Your sling is your main tool here. Aim for the Beast's helmet or exposed armor joints when it pauses after an attack. Direct hits can stagger it, but the primary goal is to chip away at its defenses.
- Look for opportunities to use your alchemical concoctions. is (fire) is particularly effective. If you can lure the Beast near flammable objects, such as hay bales or oil barrels, iting them can deal significant damage and temporarily stun it.
Phase 2: Exploiting Weaknesses
