The Grand Inquisitor Strategy
The Grand Inquisitor is a relentless and terrifying boss encounter that tests Amicia's mastery of stealth, combat, and her evolving Macula-related abilities. This fight takes place in a heavily guarded and claustrophobic environment, forcing you to be both aggressive and incredibly cautious.
Phase 1: Initial Infiltration & Stealth Takedowns
- The encounter begins with the Grand Inquisitor leading a patrol. Your initial goal is to survive and thin out his guards using stealth.
- Utilize the environment for cover. Shadows, crates, and elevated positions are your best friends.
- Prioritize taking down the guards first. Use your sling to create distractions or perform silent takedowns when possible. Lingering Mist can be useful for obscuring your movements.
- The Grand Inquisitor himself is incredibly dangerous. He is heavily armored and wields a large weapon. Direct confrontation is ill-advised in this phase.
- Observe his patrol routes and those of his men. Look for opportunities to isolate guards and eliminate them without alerting the Inquisitor.
Phase 2: Direct Confrontation & Hugo's Powers
- At certain points, you will be forced into more direct combat. This is where Hugo's abilities become critical.
- When the Inquisitor is vulnerable, use your sling to target his exposed areas. Aim for his head or any gaps in his armor.
- Hugo's Macula powers can be used to overwhelm the Inquisitor. When prompted, activate his abilities to create a swarm of rats that can temporarily stun or distract the Inquisitor, allowing you to land critical hits.
- Be prepared to dodge his powerful attacks. He has sweeping strikes and lunges that can cover a significant distance.
- Use alchemical tools strategically. is can be used to clear smaller groups of rats that might accompany the Inquisitor, but focus on Hugo's powers for the main swarm.
Phase 3: The Final Stand & Resource Management
- As the fight progresses, the Inquisitor will become more desperate and his attacks more ferocious.
- Resource management is key. Ensure you have enough alchemical ingredients for your sling and any other tools you might need.
- Continuously switch between stealth and direct combat as opportunities arise. Don't be afraid to retreat and reposition if you're overwhelmed.
- The Grand Inquisitor is a test of endurance and adaptability. Mastering the interplay between Amicia's stealth and combat skills, and Hugo's devastating Macula powers, is essential for survival.
