Chapter 8 Collectibles & Secrets
Chapter 8, "The Cradle of the Gods," presents a significant shift in environment and gameplay as Amicia and Hugo navigate the treacherous, ancient ruins. This chapter is rich with hidden lore and valuable resources, rewarding thorough exploration. Pay close attention to the environment; many collectibles are tucked away in alcoves, behind crumbling structures, or accessible only by using Hugo's abilities.
Feathers
- Feather 1: Early in the chapter, after the initial descent into the ruins, look for a small, overgrown path to your left. The feather is nestled amongst some roots.
- Feather 2: After passing through a large, open chamber with a central collapsed structure, you'll enter a narrower passage. Before proceeding, check a small side area to the right, often obscured by foliage.
- Feather 3: Further into the ruins, you'll encounter a section with a series of precarious wooden platforms. After crossing these, before you reach the next major landmark, a feather can be found on a ledge overlooking a lower area.
Souvenirs
- Souvenir 1: This souvenir is located in the first major puzzle area involving moving large stone blocks. After successfully manipulating the blocks to create a path, look for a small, hidden chamber off to the side, often near where you first entered the puzzle room.
- Souvenir 2: Towards the latter half of the chapter, after a tense encounter with rat swarms in a flooded section, you'll emerge into a more open area with ancient carvings on the walls. The souvenir is often found near a prominent, weathered statue or altar in this vicinity.
Herbs & Ingredients
While not strictly collectibles, always be on the lookout for crafting materials. Chapter 8 offers a good variety of common and uncommon herbs. Prioritize gathering:
- Reeds: Essential for crafting basic ammo.
- Spices: Crucial for crafting alchemical concoctions.
- Flowers: Used in more advanced alchemical recipes.
Explore every nook and cranny, especially around abandoned campsites or areas where the environment suggests past habitation. The ruins are vast, and many secrets lie just off the beaten path.
