Your Role as a Crewmate
As a Crewmate, your mission is to complete all assed tasks and identify the Impostors before they eliminate everyone. You are the backbone of the operation, working together to maintain the ship and uncover the truth. Vigilance, communication, and task completion are your keys to survival and victory. Stay alert, observe your surroundings, and trust your instincts.
The life of a Crewmate is a delicate balance of productivity and paranoia. You're tasked with keeping the ship running smoothly by completing your tasks, but you also have the crucial responsibility of rooting out the Impostors. This section will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to effectively contribute to your team's success and survive the treacherous journey.
Crewmate Objectives:
- Complete Tasks: Each Crewmate has a list of tasks to perform. These range from simple button presses to multi-step processes. Completing all tasks before the Impostors win is a victory condition.
- Identify Impostors: Observe player behavior, report dead bodies, and participate in discussions to deduce who the Impostors are.
- Vote Out Impostors: During emergency meetings or after reporting a body, discuss your suspicions and vote to eject players you believe are Impostors.
Crewmate Strategies:
- Prioritize Tasks: Work efficiently to complete your tasks. The sooner all tasks are done, the sooner you win. Pay attention to the taskbar at the top of the screen to see the overall progress.
- Stay Aware of Your Surroundings: Keep an eye on who is around you, where they are going, and if they are acting suspiciously. Note who is near you when a body is found.
- Observe Visual Tasks: Some tasks have visual cues that prove a player is a Crewmate (e.g., MedBay Scan, Shields priming, Weapons firing). If you see someone complete one, they are safe. If you are doing one, try to do it in front of others to clear your name.
- Report Bodies Immediately: If you find a dead body, report it right away. This initiates a discussion and allows the crew to analyze the situation.
- Communicate Effectively During Meetings:
- State your location: Where were you when the body was found?
- Who were you with? Did you see anyone suspicious?
- What tasks were you doing?
- Be specific: Instead of "I saw Red acting weird," say "I saw Red running away from Electrical just before the body was found there."
- Don't Accuse Without Evidence: While suspicion is key, baseless accusations can lead to innocent Crewmates being ejected, helping the Impostors.
- Stick Together (Sometimes): Traveling in groups can deter Impostors from killing, but it can also lead to multiple deaths if an Impostor is in the group. Be strategic about who you trust and travel with.
- Use Security Cameras and Admin Table: If available, these tools can provide valuable information about player movements and locations.
Common Crewmate Mistakes:
- Wandering aimlessly without doing tasks.
- oring suspicious behavior.
- Accusing others without concrete evidence.
- Not reporting bodies promptly.
- Being too quiet or too aggressive in discussions.
