Exploiting Enemy AI

Observe Enemy Patterns: Before engaging, take time to watch how enemies move, attack, and react to your presence. Note their patrol routes, sightlines, and any specific triggers for aggression.

Exploit Line of Sight: Enemies often have predictable lines of sight. Use cover to break their line of sight and reposition yourself, or lure them into ambushes.

Baiting Attacks: Some enemies have predictable attack patterns. By feigning an approach or using a specific action, you can often bait them into performing an attack that leaves them vulnerable.

Environmental Interactions: Certain enemies may react to environmental elements. For example, some might be drawn to noise, light, or specific objects, which you can use to your advantage to draw them away from objectives or into traps.

Group Tactics: When facing multiple enemies, try to isolate them. Lure one away from the group using sound or visual cues. This prevents you from being overwhelmed and allows for focused takedowns.

Exploiting Weaknesses: While not strictly AI, understanding enemy weaknesses (elemental, physical, etc.) combined with AI behavior allows for optimal engagement. For instance, luring an enemy weak to fire into a flammable area.

Stealth and Distraction: Use stealth to bypass enemies or set up advantageous positions. Throwing objects or using specific abilities can create distractions, drawing enemy attention away from your intended path or target.

Understanding Aggro: Learn how enemy aggro (aggravation/aggression) works. Some enemies might only aggro when you enter a certain radius, while others might aggro based on sound or sight. Use this to control when and where engagements happen.
