Unlocking the Able Sisters
As you settle into island life and begin to personalize your home and surroundings, you'll undoubtedly start thinking about your wardrobe. The Able Sisters, the iconic tailor shop from previous Animal Crossing titles, make their return in New Horizons, offering a vast array of clothing options to express your unique style. Unlocking their permanent shop on your island is a straightforward process, but it requires a little patience and interaction with a familiar face.
The journey to bringing Mabel and her sister Sable to your island begins with Mabel herself. She will start appearing randomly in your Resident Services Plaza once you've upgraded Resident Services from a tent to a building. She won't appear every day, so keep an eye out for her. When she does visit, she'll set up a small stall and offer a selection of clothing items for sale. browse her inventory and purchase at least one item each time she visits. After she has visited your island and you've purchased items from her on at least two separate occasions, she will mention the possibility of opening a permanent shop. Continue to interact with her and purchase items, and eventually, she will propose building a shop on your island. Tom Nook will then offer you a plot of land to place the Able Sisters' shop, much like you did for Nook's Cranny. Once placed, the shop will be constructed the following day, granting you permanent access to their extensive clothing collection and custom des features.
