Apex Legends offers a diverse array of collectibles, each contributing to the game's expansive lore and providing players with tangible rewards. These items are often tied to seasonal events, questlines, or specific game modes, encouraging exploration and a deeper understanding of the Outlands.
Primary Collectible Types:
- Lore Items (Audio Logs, Data Shards, Journal Entries): These are the most prevalent collectibles, primarily found within seasonal questlines and narrative events.
- Audio Logs: Small, glowing devices that, when interacted with, play voice recordings from various characters. These logs often reveal personal backstories, plot developments, or historical context.
- Data Shards/Chips: Electronic fragments containing digital information. Interacting with them might trigger text-based logs or short visual sequences that convey crucial plot details or encrypted messages.
- Journal Entries/Notes: Physical documents, such as torn pages or official reports, found in the environment. These offer written accounts of events or observations.
- Apex Packs: While not strictly "lore" collectibles, Apex Packs are a primary reward for gameplay and can be earned through various means, including Battle Pass progression, challenges, and leveling up. They contain cosmetic items, crafting metals, or Legend tokens.
- Crafting Metals: These are a form of in-game currency that can be used to craft specific cosmetic items directly from the Legend or weapon customization menus. They are often found within Apex Packs or as rewards for completing certain challenges.
- Legend Tokens: Another in-game currency, Legend Tokens are earned by leveling up your account. They are primarily used to unlock new Legends or purchase certain cosmetic items.
- Cosmetic Items (Skins, Charms, Emotes, etc.): While not "found" in the traditional sense, these are the most sought-after collectibles. They are obtained through Apex Packs, the Battle Pass, the in-game store, and special events. These items allow players to personalize their Legends and weapons.
- Badges and Stat Trackers: These are earned by achieving specific in-game feats, such as winning matches with certain Legends, achieving kill milestones, or completing difficult challenges. They are displayed on your player banner and serve as a testament to your skills and accomplishments.
